tommyann: Yes, positives outweigh downsides for investing in PFD. Things are getting quite exciting given PFD prospects of a turnaround. So it's difficult to know an exit price and then company news flow can ramp up prospects even more. You're right any Take Over bid premium should surely be near the £2 range. That would be nice & also if it helps UK PFD jobs and puts the company on more solid footings. Hoping for some high profits here as sitting on loads of these & then shifting profits into property development.

Sector Rotation into Consumer Staples will Continue for Some Weeks Now. Tech’s seen overpriced, frothy. Recovery plays shares suffer from vaccine vows near term. PFD will be Top of Risers List more so now. This will achieve some people’s target exit price but I do expect a PFD stake build up by Private Equity & Fund Managers. Maybe a pot shot at a Takeover Bid before SP jumps too much. Everyone enjoy the SP ride up !

PFD share price hit 99.1p. Will hit new higher heights still to come. Last time stake sell by hedge fund pushed shares even higher. So hoping quicker SP upside now.

Stake sell by Paulson (RNS today) means someone has picked up 1.7% stake in PFD. So share price goes higher as maybe stake building. Nissin Foods or another holder. I did notice 8 miilions share buys. To his was after the stake sell of 50 million shares by Paulson. Looks like stake building by another shareholder. Great news as speculation as to why? Vote of confidence in PFD company prospects.

PFD offers A Great Value Share Price. I’m finding the market has priced in the recovery of Cyclical Shares, prices too high. I got no appetite to buy at high share prices . Value Investors will snap up PFD shares. Hoping for 130-140 pence price hike in short term. Medium term SP is going much higher. I think paying a Dividend will propel this share price to new heights. Shares are due for big re-rate on financial turnaround prospects.

Other shares no matter how good their prospects will seem less attractive. Then US Fed Bank will use more helicopter money to save their arses & the global equity markets. Yes, eventually global interest rates will rise but this is some time away.

I am looking to invest in Cyclical Stocks. These should outpace share returns as UK Economy/ World restarts up again. Premier Foods is not a cyclical stock (more Covid Defensive Stock) & may avoid this share for time being. There is room for special situations like BT to accelerate growth due to Boardroom bust up this week & their shares up lots today. Some major news may help PFD shares to up but got to be very big news to pull away from cyclical trend investing go on now.

FTSE250 Index sits at 1 year high. PFD benefits as a member, SP should rise progressively as investors pile back into the index. Especially with a 7.3% upgrade to UK economic growth. Here's budget news today:
The OBR went on to predict the UK economy would expand 4% this year, a downgrade from the 5.5% in November, but then grow 7.3% next year, an upgrade from November.

It’s take profits off table for now. Includes CoVid & Non CoVid shares. I rate PFD as a foods company & that was the case before CoVid. So everywhere a fear of more Inflation & the rise of £Sterling with oil prices rising causing upset. With shares there is always something to worry about. It goes in cycles. Then when huge unemployment surfaces with massive company bankruptcies high cash flow generating businesses like PFD back in favour. Also PFD shares will rise on back of transformational company news. Going to happen & awaiting more RNS news.

dans23: Agree this share price going up strongly from now. I can see 120p before next company results, they should read well hopefully. Then broker average upgrades taking to 140p-150p short term. I would think a Takeover Bid for PFD coming (meaning another surge in price, last time SP up by 70% on takeover bid) but nobody knows timing. That’s my thoughts only. So lets all enjoy the ride up !

Looks like more Flushing Of Profit Takers by Share Market Makers. Erratic share swings going ons. That’s good news. Someday they may want to buy back. At much higher PFD share prices, suits me. Little Incentive at moment to trade these shares as penny moves only. So why trade share & buy more instead for a hold, more great news coming from PFD soon. Only way has to be up for share price. Also this PFD is primed for a Bid Takeover Target. So agree with Jedclampit about this.

Cannot really lose with debt coming down. Profits up. I’ve seen deluge of huge sellers of PFD shares recently. I think the only way is up for PFD share price. Maybe a few kinks but up she goes. :-)

Those affordable treats, Kipling & the likes still be in demand as inflations goes up more. They affordable at their relatively low price. Summer will be see pent up demand for eat outs but sure now & then. Those eat out prices will goe up too & may prove costly; restaurant need to up prices to cover Pandemic costs. Then hopefully go back to home style cooking benefitting Sharwoods & Bachelors, Noodles etc... Plant based alternatives should grow as market appeal keeps expanding. So there is a benefit to PFD. PFD’s strong brands portfolio should shine through & there relatively lower affordable prices. Higher inflation going to be more concern as this year progresses/ into 2022.

Kallumama: Yes, lets see if Alex Whitehouse has midas touch like Colin Day & PFD share price gets re-rated. I had read a fleeting headline about a 10 Fold share price increase which I said. Thanks for the extra detail which corrects me. Another week starting, maybe more new RNS to follow soon. Here’s hoping. :-)

All I say regards to PFD is “Surprises Happen”. There will upsurge in SP on re-rating of PFD shares. Forget what’s happened in the past. Look to the future. New BODs in place, I did read somewhere that the now CEO previously worked as CEO of another listed company where shares went up 10 Fold from his start reign to finish. So these new teams know what they are doing. Just takes time to bed in & get a track record together. In the meantime a Takeover Bid for PFD is likely as this will truly unlock its hidden value. Patience is a Virtue but timelines are squeezed more due to technological advancements. So I don’t think wait too long like before to get this share moving upwards again.

I was buying & selling PFD shares upto this years highs. I saw value at those higher levels. So did others. Then why is SP at 90 now. Nothing changed since then & PFD continued to outperform its peers with sales, cash flow & profits. It’s the Market Makers driving SP down on dim valuation reports, investors taking that at face value. Kallumama has exposed these here for what they are worth. Not worth taking seriously the low valuation ones. Just the BODs at PFD need to give firm direction as to way forward. Then SP will rise a lot with news flow. Capital Reduction Plan is a start but what now?

PFD, this only near term profit taking. Was to be expected share price fall. This SP should bounce back. As Kallumama says there is good value in this share from here. At some point market will recognise this. Surprised that no PFD RNS yet but that may trigger SP upside as a relief. Keeping an open mind. There are positives to this share.

Did I see SP open at 90p today? Maybe start day auction price? Thinking it’s going to fall into 80’s pence. How low it can go is anyone’s guess. I see UK FTSE’s market indexes cannot hold onto gains like PFD share price at moment. Suggests more downside. Already had too a bigger rise so far on recovery hopes, higher Gov stimulus & some corporate earning lifts.

Hi Dans23 on PFD. I tracked this SP going down to 89p Intratrade little while back. Yes, as you say the share chart is a reflection now. I’m talking about push downside on further profit taking & those Shorters getting there way. Just can’t tell. Anyway I’m noting what you are saying & thank you.
