Dans23 on PFD: If SP price falls to say 84 pence. What do your charts say to further downside from there? What's next price marker after that?

These PFD shares. Cannot see SP go higher near term. Goes up, then back down on profits taking. No real conviction to buy. See this go to mid 80's pence or lower. I sold out 100% my holdings. Next results SP may go up if extremely pleasing. I see stock market correction coming soon. Too much froth speculation at moment. My own opinion, DYOR.

Hoping PFD announces a good fit acquisition soon. I’m sure the BOD is looking at this & this will offset some growth fears post pandemic. If target buy out is earnings enhancing with quicker payback the better. All positive & investors liking of it will reset SP higher. Something is going to happen no doubt to bolster sales growth.

bistolover: Hoping for a lift in food sector valuations generally. Brokers do this regularly to attract investor interest. Valeo being sold off should prompt this especially with Goldmans value on it. Would expect higher share prices of undervalued food players like PFD. Likely HSBC will re-rate PFD share price with catalyst of Divi payment / acquisition news / further debt pay downs / other news. Sustained recovery in UK economy, world economy long way off in my view. That’s going to favour the food sector & up their valuations consequently too. So double sector valuation upgrades for PFD coming.

Markets churning winners all the time. They up a bit, then shares down on profit taking. Notice happening with all my watchlist shares incl PFD. Looks always needing check & awaiting some share driven news. Especially now with economic uncertainty & season time. Eventually value investors buy hard, trends reversal & sharp upsides again. Just wait for positives to come through.

Jedclampit: You should take up Kallumama’s offer. How you going to know if your investment represents good value if you can’t do a valuation investment of the company. You going blind when investing otherwise. Just by gut instinct is ok but very hit n miss. You tell us you don’t believe in Broker reports too or use technical share charting. It’s your call but Kallumama is right on this point. He is showing you your weaknesses. I think you’ve got lots of insecurities too & this is coming from your gut feelings of investing.

Jedclampit: Re: HSBC report. Why you worry so much. It is only 1 Broker report about of many for PFD. I doubt it has much weight but only a little short term effects. This shows your insecurity. What matters at moment is PFD share price is going up. Invest with confidence. Focus on your next moves.

I'm buying the share dips. Capture some upsides later. Works for me. Added again today. Never can get the lowest price. My confidence not shaken. Like tommyann says good news may come from somewhere whether from PFD, external. That's my take, DYOR.

HSBC INITIATES PREMIER FOODS WITH 'REDUCE' - TARGET 90 PENCE. Not makes sense with Peel Hunts target at 130p, Jeffries 5% profit upgrade set this week & SP target under review. PFD share price rise was a catch up on better company prospects & Pandemic surging sales. So unjustified for HSBC to have a Reduce rating.

Some leading scientists have called for bars and restaurants to be shut until May, and warned easing restrictions only when all over-50s have been vaccinated remains too dangerous. Scientists will have more sway now on Lockdown decisions. Especially as new virus strains spread disease more aggressively. So lots of pent up demand for life freedom things like eat outs but reality still be higher home foods consumption will remain so.

Jed, looks like it HSBC flush out PI’s. Get shares on cheap, tactics. This will reverse trend, only a blip. PFD biz sound. I would rather invest in foods at mo. Pandemic so called recovery plays looks stumble. Lockdowns will still be in place for a while more. Look at news, no guarantees vaccines work on new Coronavirus strains. I wish this was the not, we all want our lives back !

dans23: I don't have the charts. But PFD at moment can't hold onto share gains. Suggest EMA pushes further more down than SMA. This I guess accelerates down action even more. Than you said to us. That I suppose. Ask dan23 as he expert. Hopefully only a blip but how long last who knows. Waiting any unexpected news.

Kallumama, we all have our say here, this chat board. Nobody has power influence to drive up the share price. I value other people’s contribution as well other than yours. Well said jedclampit with your views. I listen to everyone, we help each other & then makes my own independent investment decisions.

Peel Hunt says now 130p (up 5p) PFD share price target. Jeffries Broker upped profits target by 5% but made no other changes. I think this share price target for Jeffries will increase with another review. That I would think should help increase the current lowly rated share price.

PFD trading statement was great ! Nothing negative here. No Brexit Hit either. Pandemic cash flows surge, optimistic for a better future, PFD brokers upgrading profits & share price target upped again. So upside reasons to buy shares now. Re: 2022 & beyond, nobody has got a crystal ball to exactly predict future sales, profit, cash flows etc... Definite here is PFD going to reduce debt & in cumulative ways !

Hi. I thought 90’ish would take a little while. It’s here now & this was swift down selling. We all learn from eachother & I will take note of charts, thanks. I bought some on way down & buy more when ready. Waiting for both upsides & downsides now.

Technical PFD share charts do not tell the whole story. They are driven by investment sentiment and that can turn fairly quickly. I would not rely only on technical share charting to make my investment choices. Investment sentiment is a whole lot more wholesome. Watching and believing in company prospects which is what I would be doing !
