Anyone going to the AGM tomo to ask when the factory will be ramping up to the 800,000 sq m maximum polished slabs/per annum, as stated in their promotional material? Or even if they'll be ready to polish anything by the end of july...? Can't say shareholders haven't been patient! :)

RNS states 4.7M payment booked for this year, and rest to follow...confidence in management is rock bottom. Can't say we haven't been warned tho, I remember reading a poster on here ages ago who warned of issues about way income was accounted. Good time to buy if you think there is still a viable business model....

One explanation could be that it's all a cunning plan by Apple to takeover IMG on the cheap, but that has a lot of pitfalls, not least because it effectively relies heavily on the premise that IMG shareholders are sufficiently panicked by Apples (therefore false) claim to be able to develop a better graphics solution...

Apples continuing stake in IMG is certainly a conundrum, because i can't understand why they didn't they sell it before they knew it was going to plummet on news that they have developed a better graphics solution? On the other hand, if continuing to hold 8% is part of a plan to upset a IMG fire sale, why are they bothered where the inferior IMG tech ends given that they can apparently do better, and have therefore walked away from their winning and long standing collaboration? All very strange..

Indeed Apples' strategy is difficult to fathom at this point, they don't seem to want to buy IMG, but all they seem to have achieved to date is to risk their impending David and Goliath battle over IMG graphics IP becoming more in doubt if IMG gets bought out by a competitor with deeper pockets.. They must be very sure that their GPU replacement plan is superior (and does not infringe), which is why IMG is worth so much less now, but Goliath may have underestimated David in which case people who bought in after the drop will be £'s in! It'll be interesting to see how this ends because as you say, the end game is not currently obvious....

I think not. All financial interest in IMG passes with the sale/surrender of your shares at takeover.

Yes good work on the presentation. Hopefully we have broken the long standing resistance in the low 160's now and confidence is returning after the past expensive and doomed excursion into touch screens...

Yeah, they obviously had an unstated agenda to lower the price that went way beyond shorting (or concern for PI's!) I suggested as much a couple of times and their reluctance to engage me was telling.... Well done to those (esp K3) who constantly challenged them, and a reminder to everyone using these kind of chat rooms to make and justify their own decisions...

Looks like the current share buyback is over for now... The price has dropped off recent high of 860p ish and glad i got out soon after. Guess mounting concerns about car finance bubble issues are weighing on peoples minds and a director sold quite a chunk today too... May well get back in when the dust settles...

Yes strong upward momentum is still maintained today, very welcome after years in the doldrums, as they say, share trading requires patience! A pull back is inevitable at some point but the valuation is still modest and any improvement in outlook is still not fully priced in. Up 12% again today...

No 2016 Annual report on the OVG website...even though their valuation might be attractive due to POLY shares held, not for me....

Have a look at a post by 'jaxonsax' on UTW board over on Interactive Investor....he puts forward a summary of their accounting practices, that may be at the root of this drop....

Monitise was same as it is now (ie 2-3p) in 2009, so whether you made or lost £ depends on your timescale... but dont let that upset your stream of consciousness ranting...! :)

Yes that's usually a good sign. Directors holding as of nov 16 listed below, it might be useful to compare these figures going forward to see if their holdings increase with their remuneration, rather than them selling them...I guess they would have to RNS if they sold any given to them in lieu of pay? Regarding Buffet...that was is #2 rule. His #1 is to only buy well managed companies whose businesses you understand! Richard Round joined the board in Sept 16 and left May 17, I don't know enough about BOD's to comment if his tenure was unusually short...? Ahh you're a brave man!. I could buy back at the same price now, as i got out for a loss for previously, but i just can't stomach it. The problem is that CG has very little credibility and the factory delay is just a part of that.... Ctw, do you really believe that the factory will be up and running by July? I can't see how you have any confidence in that happening with him saying exactly for same thing (and it never happening) for the last 18 months? I don't think its a financial issue causing it either, and even if it was, should he not make shareholders aware of that fact? I guess it may get done by July but i'm pretty sure no polished marble is gonna be shipped from there this year. That's how litte confidence i have in his honest statements to long suffering shareholders. I would get back in, but far from looking for a lower entry price. i would much prefer to see confidence return and make my profit on a nice long up trend. I hope for sake of current shareholders that i'm mistaken. GLA

Yes good to see this moving northwards. The results look encouraging, and pleased to see a reference to electric vehicles component sales, as these are going to be the next 'big thing' They have a lot more copper cable in than the combustion engine equivalent and so a foot in the door in this growing market can't be a bad thing.

Ah yes you may be right....in which case it would make sense for competing companies in the Fintech arena to use every trick in the book to undermine competitors share price, wouldn't it?? Now remind us again....what you and VH doing here exactly?
