Possibly ARCM are correct and everyone else is wrong. Given they hold a huge short that was secretly built up? They *might* be slightly compromised shall we say :-)

Also, when was a hedge fund so keen on public statements? Maybe it’s their only option left? as the other creditors aren’t picking up the phone!

The article fails to mention how the huge short position was built up undeclared.

So ARCM lose the court case and now have to resort to trying to scare the other lenders - they know the game is up, roll on the 12th .

Anyone know if any other creditors also have short positions in PMO? Seems ARCM are the only ones with an interest in the SP dropping.

The article is very interesting. Makes a change from the fool’s “PMO has gone up xx% here’s what you should do now” and then it tells you they’re not investing- every time!!

How do we know they are not reducing already? Given their track record for not reporting and the fact that the price has a large potential upside now.

Straight after the open so Brent should get a healthy increase tomorrow- can’t see the risk disappearing overnight!

Brent has risen ~4% but traders waiting to see if this is just a spike or not. Depends on Iran’s response which might be obscured since it’s been using proxies all over the Middle East rather than direct action. Of course the head of the proxy operation has been removed so it’s anybody’s guess over the weekend.

They obviously think they know something. Could a clause in the debt contract be used by them to drive the SP down? But amassing the short position would have alerted people? So they do this without notifying and plan that the fine will be significantly less than the profits??

I hold both as I didn’t think putting all my oil stocks in pmo to be wise! plus tlw had a lot of positives until very recently. Thankfully pmo is the bigger holding (even bigger% now !?)

Makes you wonder what the point is of checking shorttracker if your 4% on PMO is correct give or take 16% !!

No price drop on us finding out about such a large short - we were obviously the last to find out!

Have they gone public with their short to make it more effective? Seeing as the SP has gathered momentum recently. Maybe they didn’t have an explicit choice but could have not resisted any changes which meant it became public knowledge. Prompts the question- under what circumstances are shorts not required to declare? And how common is this?
