I also believe in oil higher then 50 otherwise I would not be here. But we never know.

About hedges, on 29 th Oct I said here.
(I would assume they hedged more % of prod
and longer horizon into 2019 to secure 75 usd next year)

About UK tax and oil budget I didnt know, sounds positive.
Question is how many millions/year it can give enq?

Without the hedge.
at 55 usd after some discounts maybe they get 52 usd.
And at production 67k they cant reduce debt. its basically flat.
I used opex 21 usd/barrel and capex 250 milj.

And this is basically our peak production years, so I see limited value if this continue.

The value/hope this have now is like a option/lottery of oil prices going up.
We need 2-3 years decent oil prices.
What if oil prices goes down? I dont want to think about it.

I dont understand how AB could put us in this situation and gamble so much with low and less hedges then normal.

Sounds like its been more activity in deals "take overs" last 6 months, so its good.
There was this other UK company Ophir and Swedish Lundin group company's also made some deals.

Hard to see that someone really wants Enquest because some really good fields or future explorations.
Maybe someone big like BP could be interested in Enq, buy it and use it as a subcompany.
Add some additional older fields.
Then they could use the 3 bilj tax free situation Enq have more fast.

Otherway is that Enq tries to pick up some company or merge, but its not so fun for us with only 500 milj usd market. cap.

Or continue as we do and try get another Magnus deal now, similar setup that can run in background and executed in few years for 100 milj usd.

If nothing is done it might not be so nice sitting with declining production in 2-3 years.
Specially not if oil price just in 50-80 range.

Its this GCA valued Magnus deal also.
But I think problem is that when you include it into Enquest and now oil price in 50 range we still cant reduce debt.
Then value is not much.

Its strange that market didnt appriciate the deal more back in Sept/Oct but it come with a cost of second time in 2 years need raise money and additional 500 milj shares

Can just pray oil come back to 70-80 range again and debt should reduce fast and this company will get better day by day

I saw this article today, Thats same as our production level and 3 bilj usd.
Need reduce for Magnus vendor loan, BP cashflow share, debt.

I remember there was talk about reducing SPR some year ago over next years. If that’s happening it’s not with intention to manipulate weekly inventory data I think I found yday some grafh that chilling looking for. I will check again when I come home
