Ben, 0.6% Cu could be considered viable in an open pit scenario, but think it unlikely anyone would open a new underground mine at that grade.
Obviously we know that doesnt directly apply to Baita, but grade is still crucial. I cant remember how (or even if it was correct) but I estimated that the grade for Q1 was 0.5%, so 0.6% is obviously moving in the right direction.
However, I had hoped for far more, especially after VAST said in the Q1 figures RNS 'The Company can also confirm that the mining teams have accessed areas of high grade ore on sub-level 2, which supports an increase in the level of concentrate production moving forward.'
Lower grade, means more ore needs to be mined, means higher costs
