I would quite like to wait until the new tax year so I could buy some more in my ISA

I do know quite a few people who did originally say they wouldn't have it but have since changed their mind. Most of them over 50's though.

How about the mobile labs for the hotels people use before flying. The hotels can offer the test the day before so no extra hanging around at the airport on the day - (although some people seem to enjoy this experience for shopping).

Callit - I have always found Amazon search useless. Type in something and it brings up anything that can be remotely relevant. Ebay seach is much better (it's why I tend to go to Ebay rather than Amazon) so let's hope they use Ebay too.

I wouldn't expect the whole value of the tender to be in the accounts - some of it will be in 2021. If anything supplied in 2020 is unpaid it will show as a trade debtor.

Actually at the start of this I paid £1 each for the 2-ply masks so my husband could travel on the train for work. Makes these good value.

On the subject of NCYT I removed my stop losses of £7 some months ago. I bought more yesterday.

Confirmation statement is not complicated so I don't see why that shouldn't be on time. I can't believe they changed the accounting date knowing it was likely to cause problems. If they didn't realise they should have done.

My brother (teaching assistant) and a friend have both had Covid. My brother is a fit marathon runner. My friend is in her 30's and had no underlying health conditions. Neither was very ill, my brother lost sense of taste and smell, nothing more, and my friend felt like a mild flu. Both have been left with long covid 10 months after having it - my brother has parosmia which is getting worse, and my friend has been left with a heart condition. So I'm not in agreement with the view that it's a semi serious virus, we are only starting to realise some of the long term effects.

Having now spoken to my brother he says that you can't always understand why the French do some of the things they do. However the report about the AZ vaccine not being suitable for older people means they have stopped vaccinating those in the older groups until they get what they see as a more suitable vaccine. Their vaccination numbers look a lot lower because they doing the two within a three week period. My niece has a medical condition which means she is vulnerable and has had her first vaccination and second due next week. My brother is 56 but has no idea when he is likely to get his done. We are hoping that we will be able to travel to France to see them later this year as we will have been vaccinated and are happy to take a test. Maybe we should get some shareholders perks as in free tests :)

Thanks Porky. Sadly I don't think they will get anywhere near the 84% mentioned amongst the younger generation although the vaccination rates where I live for groups 1 - 4 is in excess of 90%. I think we'll be testing forever. I've already seen talk of new pandemics.

Agree Kaeren. From a more simplistic point of view, I am a numbers person and can get frustrated when trying to explain to people who aren't what is blindingly obvious to me. Some of the more technical stuff on here can go straight over my head. For the record my initial thoughts were it was a really good RNS (haven't had time to read in detail yet - that's tonight) but I didn't expect numbers like some obviously did.

Food for thought. This ties up with my friend's experiences as a carer who goes into peoples' homes. She nurses very old, sick people. Of those who have died most had Covid on their death certificate although she thinks only one has died because of Covid. The others who died went into hospital and caught Covid in hospital but she said the reality was they would have died of the condition they went in with.

It's not just AIM, I lost over 50% of an investment when I decided to manage my own ISA. That was a FTSE100 company. I decided to crystalise my losses and put the remainder into NCYT and that has paid off for me. Also made several thousand last week on ARB but sold out two days too early. At least it has covered my losses here and on SYME. I'm holding here because I don't think we will get rid of masks for a long time.
