But as you say - when a major backer knows the score in far better detail than we do, why would they chuck a million dollars away for the fun of it?? And lets not agonise too much on the precise timing of the DFS - what is a week or three when you have been in here for 5+ years? It will happen, and the effect of it on the potential j/v partner or outright buyer is the important issue.

My thoughts exactly on the reasons for the current sp jib - and no potential big investor would be making any moves or noises until the full detail of the DFS has been absorbed and weighed up. A little swirl of positive sentiment at the right time could make all the difference here. Good luck that your patience and analysis deserves! ....and I am also in CNR!

Pleased to see you put some of the impatient protesters back in their box! It has echoes of supporters of big-time football clubs screaming blue murder and "sack the manager!" after a few duff results. This BOD have an excellent record of diligence over a long period, and I am disappointed at the lack of faith and unfair criticism being levelled at them at such a crucial and delicate period in BAO's development from explorer to producer.

Of course its good news, and another peg in the ground. Now tell the market to recognise that!

I am afraid that an awful lot on AIM is just as mystifying as you report on Petra. None of us on here are remotely interested in cash ISAs and the pitiful returns, so we take the punt based on respect for the fundamentals in a company and our estimate of the value at time of purchase. This share rose to spikes of 50+ and 30+ very much on speculation and sentiment - looking at the SP the perverse truth is that now it is significantly more de-risked and has guaranteed resource in greater numbers. BUT... the positive sentiment has deserted AIM shares for a long time now - especially for embryonic miners - and this is exacerbated by poor data from China and declining iron ore prices.Would not care to reveal the paper losses involved here, but still keep the faith as I know this sector moves in cycles and a slice of good news coupled with a change in wind direction would change the picture dramatically.

Lectures on patience are wasted on me, as I have been in here for nearly 5 years now after a personal visit to Tete in the early days. I am with Tru on this one, and 8.0p was a figure just plucked out of the air Trade as a marker on the way upwards. I would need far better than this to even hit the average, so its the long game, but very confident that the expected news will bring all the BAO faithful some positive movement.

Not quite sure from your post if we are on a trading board or at a seance. However....will definitely give you a WAVE when we sail past the 8p marker as your forecast will be correct yet again!

You got one thing wrong there Marsh. Not sure of your long term history with BAO, but I remember both bigggish spikes in recent years, and at that time the BOD said virtually nothing. Looking at all the global signals in iron ore and funding of long term projects, we are at a stage when there is very little they can say. The DFS due may change this - but it is only a document, and we still need the buyer/jv organisation to emerge from the woodwork. Just look at the Rio experience in Moz when failure to do due diligence on the Riversdale coal deal cost them £3.5 billion and a few rolling heads.

Cannot see BAO staying at this level for too long. A natural rise before a proper one when the DFS emerges or other important news surfaces. And GL to those with the balls and foresight to re-invest at this week's very silly prices!

There is no harm at all in re-iterating all the fundamentals and the promise of BAO - especially for newcomers and hoverers - but the current levels of SP are now becoming preposterous. We were marked down 0.5p before any trades had taken place, and the volume of sells is minimal but here we go again. Have no faith at all in the Elliot Wave merchants, but have to say they got it right a couple of months ago when they predicted a low of 6.5 before the "new wave of rises"! Jeffrey can bless his luck at 8p as that IMHO is a blinding average - and I have exactly the same inclination as yourself and trbw to get in again at these crazy levels. Are we to suspect the MMs motives here whilst the silence lasts - for a drag down before filling their own boots?

I am an optimist anyway - but the use of the word "progress" in the e-mail hardly implies a negative when news does finally arrive. With so much promise here and the wide search for JV partners, I would say that there is a serious chance of deeper discussions in play.

It is a definite worry to watch the value shrinking like this, especially at our levels of investment in BAO. I have to hang on to BBs mantra of "no news is probably good news" - and have to hang on anyway at these levels! I have been confident enough to press in at all the recent dips, but the biscuit tin is empty just now. Equally, volume has been pathetic recently - and that includes sells, which can be put down in some degree to the globally depressed prices and demand for ore and pig. Any recovery in this combined with some news on JV and the road to production would see a big shift upwards for BAO.

This has barely moved between 7.5 and 8.5 since June, so with a regular 5% spread I don't really see how you could daytrade this for profit. Its pregnant really, and the baby could be premature so would not want to be out of this for too long. At this level, definitely an investor share - especially for those that understand the real potential in Moz and wider Africa. Others have pointed out the cost effectiveness of the eventual product in some detail - so as I am a 5-year BAO veteran, no chance of an exit at this crucial stage.

That's the kind of committment and bottle I like to read. I have no doubt that your faith will be well rewarded here as a paid up member of the BAO long-termers club!

Wise up - you don't need to ramp this. Just look at the fundamentals and the backdrop in the stable parts of Africa, which includes Moz. You will never stop day-traders in any share, but this is for investors - well informed and patient ones!

Nice to see you becoming so vocal after buying a few of these at exactly the right level, as I said at the time. This board could do with more of your lively enthusiasm. If one had the faith as a long-termer, it was top up time for me and a resulting slight dent in the average. Looking ahead and without repeating all the obvious and imminent positives for BAO - IMO this is not one for day-trading even week-trading for little profits and smug smirks, but for holding medium and long term for the ultimate prize. Individual budgets and time-scales come into play here, but GLA whatever your agenda.

Would like to recommend a read of a very informative article by Matthew Lynn in today's Telegraph Business section on Page 2. General theme is the extraordinary growth expected over the next 2/3 decades in Africa - and pinpoints Mozambique to average a remarkable 8.3% over the 3 years 2013/15. Such a booming economy will obviously embrace its own iron and steel production developoment - and this may lend some fibre and much-needed confidence to those invested here at these ridiculous levels of SP for BAO.

Nice to read your supportive post. I followed your tip on CNR and sold at a little profit to get back in here at around 8.175. Helps the average, but even more ridiculous now - and out of bullets like yourself!
