There is a remote possibility that some may have been surprised that I have posted this morning given my comment yesterday, so perhaps a brief explanation is warranted.

The ongoing issue with JM is driving me nuts and even withdrawing from contributing to the bb doesn't help as I still have to read the anti Meyer comments. Therefore different strategy required. I have decided to filter the posters that regularly attack JM. I won't be able to read their posts and therefore won't respond. In that way I can help reduce the unnecessary clutter on the bb and at the same time make it more pleasant reading for myself.

I regret having to take this action and hope that once the sp rises and the bb is swamped with positive vibes this issue will be consigned to the bin where it belongs. At that point I hope to remove the filters and once again be able to read the many excellent contributions from those posters. I look forward to that day.

Pb940 I understood that last year's Q updates were calendar year timed, as with this year, at least where Vametco is concerned.

This quote from Q3 2017 Vametco (20 Nov) update seems to support that:

"Vametco had a solid performance in the September 2017 quarter, supported by a rising vanadium price, which traded at an average of US$39.4/KgV1. This enabled revenue to increase by 29%, and EBITDA by 69%, compared to the June 2017 quarter"

Of course very happy to be corrected if necessary.

I do hope that expectations are not raised of an 'imminent' V update, followed later by a chorus of "Why is it late?" posts like for Q2.

Squirty is correct. All we know from the email is that BE update will be by end of November and that V update can be expected between now and then and prior to BE.

Not necessarily relevant but Q3 V update 2017 was released on 20 November.

Just an opinion but if Q3 update contains better news on production numbers I hope they strive to release it ASAP.

I had hoped that this ridiculous broker debate had finished and was looking forward to joining in with BMN chat again. Sadly yesterday and today it has re-appeared.

I shall leave the hawks on this bb to devour their prey and hopefully return at some point when the focus is back on reasoned debate about BMN.

So which broker arranged for which placees?

Interestingly I note that SP Angel are listed as the Broker for SOLG. Their recent placing was praised here, but just prior to that a Joint Broker was brought in, presumably to arrange the placing, and it is the Joint Broker that is named on the RNS re placing. It is not uncommon for a Joint Broker to be appointed for a major placing, probably to use their contacts. In my opinion that is likely to have happened here. It may well be that the placee under discussion was introduced by ARC.

And why shouldn't a placee sell their shares at large profit in just a few months? That's good business. Also we don't know why they are selling (different investment strategy, cash flow issues, etc etc).

This "hatred" of all things SP Angel is getting completely out of hand. In my opinion this bb has a well deserved reputation for rational, balanced and well researched discussion. Please please let's keep it that way.

Espaol in my opinion Loudspeaker is absolutely correct. By the time you are sure the seller has gone the sp is likely to have risen and you will pay more.

That is why I grabbed a small £3k top up yesterday.

I am not sure if anyone else has said so yet but I found the interview featuring John Meyer and Alan Broome (Chairman of SML) very interesting. There was a discussion about vanadium but a range of other metals including tin, copper, tungsten and lithium were also covered. Perhaps some investment ideas down the road when searching for a home for the large profits people have already made and will no doubt make in the future?

If anyone here has not yet seen it I suggest viewing it with an open mind.

Update on my previous post. Spoke to HL. The advisor checked and observed the same 7 minute delay to recent trade prices. Apparently the Stock Exchange feed MoneyAM who then supply info to HL. If other platforms are not experiencing this delay it suggests that the issue is with MoneyAM. If the delay us also happening on other platforms then it is likely that the source may be the Stock Exchange feed. I would be interested in any info from other platforms. Regards. Pdub.

Has anyone else noticed a delay to live prices of about. 5 or 6 minutes from about 15.00 the last day or so? I had my suspicions about this on MoneyAM and HL so have been monitoring for delays today. Seemed to start a little before 15.00 again. Any evidence of this on other platforms?

Nick this may be of interest:
