In the unlikely event that you are unwilling or incapable of such a post would you please stop trying to belittle those who regularly do exactly that.

Metaphorically speaking BMN / BE are sailing uncharted waters. But in every maritime culture throughout history that is exactly how new discoveries were made and knowledge gained. I think the Captains of our ships know exactly what they are doing.

Sailing teaches you patience. Can't go any faster than the wind drives you. And the winds of Fortune look very favourable from my position at the masthead. That's a view well beyond the sea level horizon.

In my opinion this is not the time to abandon ship or question the competency of the skipper. Play a positive part in spreading the word and look forward to celebrating the next key landfall.

I have a recollection of Fortune stating that he only releases RNSs that have significant content. Progress reports are given in the Q updates.

For what it is worth I don't like the Q update system (other than Vametco production) but I accept it as the reality.

Beginerman it is not Fortune's style to please the market with fluffy RNSs. You may wish for that, in fact many here may wish for it. However the reality is that it is not his way of working. Everyone needs to get used to it!

LTHs have done well here because BMN have delivered profit, not fluffy PR. I expect a lot more of that success as BMN deliver on their plans.

100% agree with you Endion. Fortune's style is to focus on moving the company forward. The fact that BMN was one of the best performing shares on AIM in both 2017 and 2018 wasn't because they released fluffy RNSs to keep the market happy. It was because the delivered on the business plan and became highly profitable.

They are now building the foundations for increased production and diversifying both the number of production sites and range of products. And of course establishing themselves as a significant player in the VRFB space.

When these developments are completed I expect the sp to be significantly higher than today. And a recovery in the V price would give that a kick start.

My 'investor sentiment' couldn't be higher, given that I don't worry about the day to day sp and focus solely on what the company is doing. Patience is the key here.

Bella I can't argue with any of your points and you may well have more insight than I do on this.

However, we know BMN are Africa focussed. Are they looking to invest at this time in US based companies? Also there are very significant demands on BMN cash assets (eg Vanchem acquisition). No one can deny that the lower V price will have impacted on revenue. That needs to be considered. Is there sufficient funding to become a major investor elsewhere at this stage? I don't have the answer to that question.

The May presentation does indeed have this quote:

"Partnership or investment with VRFB firms and local partners."

The same presentation time and again refers to SA and the African continent. Nowhere does it refer to expansion beyond those geographical borders. We already have UET as a project partner and investment could be referring to local partners. In the June interview Fortune made no mention of this kind of deal when asked what to expect over the coming months.

Time will tell. IF BMN are involved I would expect an RNS on completion as they are a listed company and would be engaging in a deal that surely would be price sensitive.

I fully understand the logic being applied in this speculative discussion. Until I see more evidence I remain to be convinced. However this is one of those occasions where I would be happy to be completely wrong!

Not sure there is anything in the public domain that suggests that BMN are involved. The new business intends to raise £24 million. A cornerstone investment would need to be a substantial amount. BMN already have significant capital commitments with their own developments as outlined in my previous post.

"Fundraising from a strong new strategic investor that intends to make a cornerstone investment in the merged business, as well as from existing institutional investors in redT and both existing and certain proposed new investors in Avalon."

Yes BMN and Avalon already work together but it is a big leap of faith to assume that BMN are putting significant funds into this new business.

"If we're talking further projects it depends what we are referring to. If we are talking about our primary producing platform I think that it's fair to say with Vametco and Vanchem our priority is to complete the acquisition of Vanchem, post competition approval, and to make sure that we undertake that refurbishment programme as quickly as possible to get Vanchem producing at 4,200 mtV pa level. At Vametco we have a clear priority to increase the production volumes there. Incidentally the increasing production volumes further lower your costs of production which will make our production that much more competitive. So those are the immediate priorities for us for vanadium production point if view.

On the energy front there are a number of initiatives that we have said that we are doing. Certainly we want to grow our plan of the rental product. We also want to grow our plan of VRFB projects. One of the things we do do is try to develop mandates for large scale energy storage which we can solve through VRFBs. Of course we've got the electrolyte plant that we are building up in East London with the IDC. We have a solar / VRFB mini grid that we are busy with at Vametco, which we are quite excited about and which we would like to use to demonstrate the business case for typically what you call your industrial large energy user customers. So that's a lot of stuff that the market can expect from us."

That's what I thought Alfa. You have a much greater knowledge of the battery industry than myself. Where would you place the UK in terms of battery technology?

My concern is the lack of knowledge displayed by the new PM, much as I would like the UK to lead the world in battery technology.

Very fair point Kev. Just curious about the accuracy of his statement that we lead the world in battery technology. Others here may have a better handle on whether that statement by our new Prime Minister is true. Quite relevant as we are invested in a company with aspirations in the energy storage industry.

However I am far more appalled by the constant dishonest behaviour of this particular troll constantly trying to damage the investments of ordinary pi''s. You may wish to take that into account.

This particular troll has no sympathy from me whatsoever.

And I reserve the right to defend my investment against the deceit and lies in any way I see fit, within the rules. I recognise the right of others to do so too, even if I disagree with some of the language.

Personally I prefer to counter the lies and misrepresentaions, and also report every post by the troll. That works quite well.

Furnaceb I won't repeat the distinction I made yesterday between unfounded optimism and positive contributions based on solid fundamentals, business plan, etc, but it is very important to understand the difference. Otherwise your own posts might be seen as misleading.

I think most on this bb would agree with you on the subject of bullying. However I am sure that you would agree that a self declared and banned shorter that uses multiple and new identities to get round the ban (against LSE rules) to deliberately create doubt and cause negative sentiment to suit their own agenda needs to be dealt with. People here have their own ways of doing that. Some are more blunt than others but the objective is the same.

That banned poster seems to have reappeared yesterday, was suitably dealt with and also got removed by LSE admin. A good result I am sure you would agree.
