Compare this to your other mining stocks (I think we've a few in common):
- JORC defined resource (and a licence currently only 6% explored with more licences in application)
- MF has stated this is a 50% (!!!) margin business
- ONLY $35m capex required to bring in a producing mine, with access to great nearby infrastructure.
- mcap £22m 171mshares, in preproduction phase (as stated by the CEO)
- talks ongoing with offtakers (they've already sampled the product)
- Possibiy the highest grade mineral sands resource in the world, or at least in the top two!
- 75% of the stock is held by large investors, that have privately financed the project to this stage over the last 5 years
- all this without even mentioning CMET exploration plans later this year that could possibly extend the resource multiple times

SO you've the market cap of many of your other mining stocks but NONE of the CERTAINTY

I don't know about your portfolio but nothing else in mine offers me that low risk high reward ratio.
Check out the mcap of some of their competitors BSE (3171M) KENMARE (£434m) but with much much LOWER grade product.

Looking at slide 5 I read it as EIA by end of H1 (i.e. by end of June) and Mining Licence by end of Q3 (1.e. by end of Sept)

colorblind - impossible really to tell who's buying unless there's an RNS - could quite easily be a large PI - God knows we have a fair share of them in here.
I mean if this goes the way BSE, and I think it will provide better returns, whomever bought could recoup there entire investment on the maiden dividend.

I don't doubt CHF may prove itself, they did also hint on the webinar last night that they would probably need to raise funds before the end of the year. Possible further dilution.

I think CMRS have a much better chance of having earlier transformative share price reactive news, perhaps even a full offer, near term...

I was my one regret buying POW that they didn't have the KSZ as a JV also. Who knows, I may even end up buying KAV around these levels just for KSZ participation. I'm keeping an eye on broader market trends too that will influence that decision.

I think once EIA passed it will represent a massive de risking. MF has already indicated talks ongoing with offtakers looking at prepayments/financing clauses included, and only $35m construction costs required to get us mining.
Looking at BSE as a comparable they're paying 20% dividends. Sri Lanka is all English based law. And basically MF has stated we'll be up and running in about 9 months.

Now I'm assuming COVID won't be overly detrimental to CMET making progress.

I think this will rerate, significantly, once EIA passed and mining licence granted - both of which MF foresees happening within the next 4 months.

What concept are you waiting to be proven? This was privately advanced for 5 years prior to listing. Highlights from last RNS:

"Highlights:
? The Project currently has a JORC Resource of 17.2 Mt with an average grade of 17.6% Total Heavy Minerals ("THM"), an estimate that makes it one of the highest-grade mineral sands' deposits in the world.
? The current Resource estimate is based on auger drilling that has not penetrated more than three metres deep. Limited sonic drilling so far undertaken offers compelling indication of deeper mineralisation, including showings of 26.3% and 26.6% THM at respective depths of 14 and 8 metres.
? Further potential exists beyond the narrow coastal strip - accounting for only 6% of the total Project area - that has been the primary focus of drilling to date. Initial exploration suggests potential for significant mineralisation further inland.
? The Resource's expected high grade will reduce capital expenditure - less material needs to be mined and processed to access commercial minerals.
? The Project is just 30 km drive along a network of sealed roads from a commercial port, making possible the smooth transfer of mined minerals for shipping to international markets."

JORC resource, smart money has been in for some time, 75% of shares locked up with large private investors....etc etc

BCB - 'Always good to be conservative...' hardly a comment I'd apply to 99% of your comments elsewhere.

As you said to me earlier, elsewhere, 'always good to be conservative', using terms like 'The odds ... 50 to 1 .... or 100 to 1' hardly back up that.

Look, I'm not saying this is not worth a punt, the JVs with POW look particularly good to me. But since I'm already in POW I have exposure to them.
The KSZ could, indeed, be transformational, but nothing yet proven apart from indications on some very new techniques (Ben himself stated this) and notwithstanding Ben's comment around sulphides (not 'massive sulphides'!) there still remains a probability of a water discovery, albeit reduced.
Everyone has different levels of risk appetite and right now mine lies below 4p per share, once drilling results are in that's then revised.

Definitely those buying now deserve the bigger rewards if drilling is successful, they are taking on more risk by buying now.

I don't hold much credence to Broker recs, generally they're talking their own/clients books.

Sub 20p CMRS starts to look very attractive, and vs CHF (given the massive share dilution they enacted to acquire an asset the other day) it becomes a much better proposition.

@ Bozi - no I agree about the sulphides, I had noted what Ben said about that. But at the end of the day until you drill you don't know. And as Ben was at pains to point out all this analysis was very new, the test is in the drilling.

Personally, I think this is 'currently' overpriced above 4p. But risk takers are willing to take that on so good luck to 'em. I don't think this will really move (one way or t'other) until we see some drilling results. ( I am specifically talking about the KSZ, I'm more upbeat on the KANYE projects)
