I should’ve cashed in at 400p as well mate - I was up about £3k but got greedy looking for the golden 450 and instead I sold it all at 375p when it started to drop. That doesn’t seem too bad now though considering how much its fallen though! Currently sitting on 7000 shares at 277p. 400p would be nice by March so I can chuck all the profits in an ISA but you never know with this share.
We know why boohoo are targeted. They have a Delboy at the top and his sons have been flash b*stards on social media for years always showing off their wealth. Rightly or wrongly they have the reputation as a dodgy, exploitative company and everything is black or white in the eyes of the media. Boohoo are the bad guys and they’re the good it’s good clickbait. This could go on for years.
Looking very good after that speech by Boris. Just topped up and also bought ishares global clean energy ETF, there’s gonna be massive spending on housing and clean energy in the UK
InvestorsDYOR I had around £26k invested in boohoo and luckily saw some nice profit especially when it jumped up when the report got released and I was already counting the money for when the inevitable 20% rise was coming when the massive earnings were due to be released. I was celebrating when I read them like most on this forum. Unfortunately though unlike pets at home, 888, nike etc which had great earnings and rocketed those companies didn’t also have a media sh*tstorm going on in the background and attack from the woke brigade at guardian and rest of the liberal media. Also the whole market was having a bad day when they released earnings which seems to have started a sell off with boohoo, a lot of people like us saw the low price as an opportunity to jump on the ride back to the top and it was back there for around 5 minutes then it crumbled. Such a shame but thats how it goes sometimes. Any news report can instantly send this stock down 10% so the risk is high for amateurs like myself.
Obviously apart from the market manipulation I think investors are on edge about boo, today proves how quickly it can drop. I mean I don’t mind taking a risk when the fundamentals are strong and boo is a powerhouse but one dodgy story and down it goes in minutes. Quite a stressful share to hold unless you’re in at 210 or something like that then you’re pretty safe but still not great seeing profits go.
Its like most things in the UK, councils, police, politicians, all very corrupt and out for themselves. I’m sure the US market definitely has dodgy aspects but the FTSE takes the p*ss
