Mtel you can put £20k in a year and any gains are totally tax free. You could get to £1,000,000 and it will be tax free. There are actually around 300 investors who have actually done that in the UK as far as I know. Remember you can only deposit £20k per year though. Outside an ISA you’re allowed to make profits of up to £12,300 without paying tax as far as I know, anything over that you’ll need to declare it which is why holding and not making too much profit from selling might (and I’m definitely not an expert so dont follow my advice, I’m actually a noob) *might* be the best course of action. You maybalso be inclined to take some profits though as you’re up around £80k at the moment aren’t you? Maybe someone else can chime in with a more experienced opinion?
I don’t have an isa either I p*ssed around with one on free trade and ended up closing it down only to find trading 212 is far superior but obviously u can only open one a year. I don’t have 54,000 shares though lol #baller
Having surgery tomorrow guys and as you know this share can drop in an instant. Where would you put a stop loss just in case something happens while I’m under? I don’t want to miss out on Rocket Wednesday but I also don’t want to wake up to £5k loss tomorrow either! haha
Unfortunately in this country people aren’t congratulated on success. If you worked hard and bluish a nice car in America people would complement you but over here you’re more likely to get it keyed. They hate success and capitalism especially the silver spooned privileged snobs at the guardian. It’s not easy starting at the bottom and building an empire like Boohoo, they assume some kind of cheating has taken place somewhere so want to bring it down a peg or two.
The media are the reason the share price dropped in first place giving a lot of the opportunity to jump in but f*ck me they like to drag it on and recycle the same old story! I mean honestly they’re acting like boohoo are the only company on earth to source from unethical suppliers. I think it’s fizzling out now though as they can’t keep banging on about the same thing forever. It took about 3 days to be forgotten and disappear off the news feeds last time. I think there is a hint of racism there as well, they’re trying to portray MK as some mind of asian del boy. Asos had similar issues in 2016 but they weren’t crucified this much.
