What other shares do you guys own? Do you mainly invest in AIM and FTSE or do you own blue chip US companies as well? I currently own Apple, Boohoo and Microsoft, have around £20k split between Apple and Boo. Only been trading for about 2 months though, invested in a BTL property a few years ago and was gonna try and buy another one until I got into this. Just wish I got into the stock market back in April though!
Cheers,
Paul

Just had a quick search on twitter and instagram to see what the latest comments are about @boohoo and you can hardly find anything about slave wage-gate. Basically all you see are girls trying to win free stuff and having the odd moan about a late delivery. By the look of things they need to up their customer service and delivery standards but it goes to show millennials love a good protest and a bit of virtue signalling but when it really comes down to it they’re easy to forget a scandal when they want their nice stuff and retail therapy. Half of them don’t even read the news anyway, I know because I’m engaged to one haha!
Everything is down, even unilever by the look of things. I reckon it’s due the news about mask enforcement which is slightly negative so the markets react in a slightly negative way. The news is actually a positive for online retailers like boohoo. Only sell if you want to lose money.
You’re exactly right - you only lose when you sell. I have 1800 shares myself and I’m down £140 right now after being up £200 yesterday. The thing is I never actually made any money yesterday and never lost any today either. It’s a state of mind which I’m quickly learning to overcome. I’ve basically chucked the money in Boohoo and written it off mentally until its at least 400p. If I keep checking it and worrying about every drop I’ll never stay in long enough to see it rise. Only been investing for 2 weeks but my savings were earning me £40 a month in a 1% marcus account so its been long overdue. Learning so much every day though. Admittedly wish I started in March instead of the peak of the market. At least theres some gems like boohoo still around though.
