Nice to see a little blue in a sea of red today.

If it keeps holding up well, I expect a small increase in SP above recent normal ranges.
This remains a solid stock with both income and growth potential.

Question is will US market see huge profit taking, or opportunity?

I'm not seeing any insitutional shorters, and I suspect its just some profit taking. I was tempted to sell and hope to buy back lower, but with such a low average decided to hold for now.

You are correct and I stand corrected. In my defence it has happened so rarely to the stocks that I hold, that my memory of the rules was in error. I apologise, I should have refreshed my memory before posting.

Oh I should add my average is £1.2628, and I saw value at that SP, do I wish I'd waited, of course I do, but hindsight is always perfect.
I'm happy enough with my decision based on the info I had at the time, and thats all anyone can say.

Just treat it as an opportunity to grab stock, anything under £1.20 is a bargain, it may well fall lower, but trying to time the market is a pointless exercise. Set a price where you see value and buy, whether its lower than the price now matters little. If you see a profit over the next 5 years, its time to buy, if not wait till you do.

The ex-dividend date is 10th March, however dividends are only paid to those holding at the bell on the 9th March. If you purchase shares on 10th of March you will not be eligible for the dividend payment.
The dividend being an interim payment may be cancelled (or deferred) any time up to the bell on the 9th, after which if not cancelled it becomes a due debt and must be paid.

My average is £2.2216. If it hits that, first I'll be amazed, and second I'll scrape up any spare funds and buy more.

A good move I suspect this is looking cheap now and nearing 52 week lows. It may drop further but trying to find the bottom is a fools game, I think you have done well at that price.

Thank goodness for this stock, most of my portfolio is starting to look like a bloodbath.

This does seem a little silly now, the fall looks way overdone.
I'm seeing an offer price of £1.70

While a rising tide lifts all ships, and of course the opposite is true.
I understand this is going to be dragged down by the market, but it does seem a little overdone in my opinion, I see nothing has changed negatively in the stock to warrant this drop.

I think you mistook my meaning, My reference was to the potential of the dividend being cancelled.
I think that EVR may drop from the FTSE100 and into the FTSE250, its currently sitting in the bottom 2 by Mcap, that may force some institutions to sell from certain funds, but on the flip side some will buy in the FTSE250 from certain funds.
Stocks are not cancelled from markets, they are delisted. As for inexperience, I have around 30 years at this, I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I think you are exactly right, that the same view I have anyway.

No idea, but if its cancelled my average might start to look a little expensive I suspect.

Maybe, I'm in with a 54.77p average, so if I get the dividend it has to drop quite a bit to turn me red.
As things stand I plan to hold, its high risk, but if it works out in a few years I'll hold cheap stock with a good dividend return on my outlay.
If it dosen't work out I could end up with nothing, hence why I haven't gone too heavy on it.

You take your chances and make your choice, I may be wrong, I don't know what will happen, its only my thoughts on what I think might happen.
