Thorn - I like your positivity - and the fact that it's qualified with reasoning! I would just disagree on one point though - a better time to invest would've been a few months ago when it languished around 30p :-) !! I resisted buying any more at that point though unfortunately and have done ever since as I've got a load already. Shame I didn't gamble some more when it was in the 30s though!

Ginge - historically the share has always dropped during/after presentations - particularly Smith's! so lets hope this one bucks that trend.

Wyndrum - So two new appointments made in preparation for a "catastrophic" RNS....... hmmmmm now that's logic if ever I saw it.

What I'm wondering, and I think that it is a valid question, is how long Thornagson and Wyndrum will be hanging around here if the SP continues to fall?! Surely it must reach a point when, whatever their motive(s), the constant negativity from them both will either have seen itself borne out or served its purpose for them. The only reason I'm keeping my shares is the hope that one day I can come on here and see that they've moved on ;-) !! How low do you need it to go guys!

WYNDrum - so that will be the same allies who rely on the US for military protection and have done for years??!! I don’t think anything will be biting Trump in his ass as you put it. On the contrary, I think him and his advisors will have war gamed all of this. Do you think there’s something wrong with the US wanting to row back on it’s reliance on Chinese imports? For those touting the hold that China has on US GOVT bonds - how do you think that happened in the first place? Are you seeing the world as a safer place e with China holding ever more cards and the globalists wanting to continue the status quo?

Without wanting to linger on the politics too long - I disagree with you about Truss - she had the right ideas but very poorly implemented and communicated. She has become a convenient scapegoat and possibly was even set up deliberately to fail.

Wyndrum - you're spot on about Truss - in terms of her short tenure and any lasting impact that it had - nice to see you talking sense ;-) !!! As you rightly say, Sunak corrected it immediately - although I'm not even sure that corrected it is the right term if you believe in the principles of what she was trying to do. Corrected it in the eyes of the market and the big financial institutions yes definitely! But they don't act in our interests as we all well know. Truss was hung out to dry by the "Blob" or whatever you want to call it. Market, big money players, mainstream media and her own party. The constant back reference by the mainstream media to the "damage" that she did shows that they take us all for complete fools and treat us with utter contempt. Truss has become a convenient scapegoat for the very real damage that the COVID lockdowns did to the economy - which were demanded and cheered on wholeheartedly by the same voices who constantly now blame Truss and very rarely if at all make any mention of the damage caused by lockdowns. And as other posters have alluded to - in a so-called democracy who is really pulling the strings.

Wyndrum - the sp is where it is because of assumptions made by investors - acting on little more than their own tuition and hunches rather than any solid knowledge of how well the trial is progressing or otherwise. Time will tell of course as to who is right.

Wyndrum - so until today you were confident that the tech was sound with "certain delays" but now the same said "delays" mean that "it's not going to plan"! I'd be careful with tying yourself up in so many knots - you might trip yourself up - especially in the flip flops!

Wyndrum - so surely there's no more need for you (and your chum) to post on here anymore then? As you see it as a dud investment I'd have thought a seasoned investor such as yourself will surely just take your money elsewhere?? You surely don't waste your time and energy on what you see as duds do you???

So Wyndrum - in a not entirely unexpected move (deliberate understatement on my part!), you've gone from (and I quote) "I never said it won't be successful....I think it will" a couple of months ago, to, "it's a dog of an investment" today. Are you wearing your flip flops again?! ;-)

I've no idea so will wait and see. I wouldn't be surprised if something left-field occurs when least expected that raises the SP considerably, hence why i simply wait and see. I don't consistently and relentlessly post total negativity about the share as you do. You really shouldn't be on here imho.

There is one interesting aspect to this loan that doesn't seem to get mentioned on here - and particularly so when the likes of Wyndrum suggest that Avacta will go under before any commercial value is achieved. The lender obviously believes that Avacta will be good for the repayments (whether shares or cash) for the term of the loan - there or thereabouts. Due diligence and all that.

Wyndrum - you seem to me to be the personification of the "moveable feast". I suggest that you add a default line to the start of any messages that you post in the future that reiterates the view that you posited last week - and to quote "I've never said it will fail". Then at least there might be some understanding of your contradictions!

Wyndrum - another simplistic argument. The science and the money are inextricably linked - and so long as the science looks good, stays on track and isn't superseded by other tech, there will be investment. You attempt to completely separate the two in order to (a) claim that you never said "it" would fail by obfuscating between the company and the tech itself . And (b) using your logic no small pharma would ever succeed and/or be bought out at any kind of a premium as BP (so-called) would simply wait for each company to fail and then pick up the tech from the leftovers. You need to think your arguments through a bit more.

Touk - I'm a realist and recognise the risks against potential benefits - but I don't sit on here day in day out with constantly negative posts and/or argumentative drivel.
