Starbright - I'd say your scenario of II internal feedback following the SD and then possible 1:1 talks with the company is far more realistic than the negative scenario proferred by Wyndrum!
Wyndrum - I'm sure that those potential investors in attendance will be demanding absolute clarity - or as near as can be given with current data. I'd be very much surprised if AS has set himself up for a fall in front of these people by previously being deliberately ambiguous in order to lead anyone up the garden path as you seem to be suggesting might be the case. Anyway, as I've said previously on here, I think the input of the oncology experts is going to be crucial and I doubt that this has all been organised to potentially fall flat on its face.
Ffs WYNDrum makes YET ANOTHER not so subtle reference to LFTs! Which is completely irrelevant to where we are now. The LFT scenario arose under very unique and unforeseen circumstances all round. So put that one to bed forever WYNDrum as you must know yourself it’s of no relevance.
Touk - independent, expert opinion (if favourable) should help to attract the right attention and publicity. And it should help to crystallize the thoughts of those potential investors who are in attendance. So lets wait and see what is said and what impact it has.
Touk - you ask how and why the sp will "rocket" after Science Day. I'm no ramper but I do believe that the tech will work, be brought to market and achieve considerable rewards for holders. I'm looking forward to hearing what the oncology experts have to say on Science Day as it is their input that I think will help move the sp on. So that I believe is your HOW and WHY. Of course they could fall about laughing and say it's a load of crap and they only came along for the free buffet but I somehow doubt it. Please feel free to respond??
Cheese - "folk need to get real" - why are you so in need of educating the "folk" with your wisdom?? Why not just sit back in splendid isolation and laugh at the "folk" who don't agree with your sentiments? It's glaringly obvious that you're trying/hoping to talk the price down to your aforementioned target range of £1.42 so that you can buy in - then you'll no doubt go silent as it climbs back up (on the back of others being spooked and sold up) so you can then sell. Why not simply admit the obvious!
That's something that I find very reassuring about where this is heading. The ease with which Avacta were able to raise funds. If you look across other companies on AIM anyone can see how difficult/impossible this is in the current financial climate. Yet Avacta managed it and at a keen price too. It's something that's completely avoided by the likes of Wyndrum and other doubters.
Srings - ah so you must clearly think that the share price is artificially low (based on your perceived impact
Of the LFT on sentiment) and that it will rerate when any such mistrust is dispelled at Science Day?! Fantastic - great to see that you’re on board with this but you just haven’t worked it out for yourself yet!!
No, the title of this post doesn’t refer to any posters on here ;-) !! But I am really interested in who these opinion leaders will be that speak on the Science Day and how influential their views might be on IIs. Very powerful positives hopefully.
Wyndrum - your comment about gene therapy perfectly illustrates the difference between my genuine question (about placing) and your attempts to simply undermine. Prior to the recent RNS your concentrated approach seemed to be concerns that the trial would be a failure, missed deadlines meant bad news etc etc. Now that those arguments have been discounted you've moved on to suggesting that the technology will become obsolete before the trials are finished. what will it be next week/month I wonder???
Thanks Jimmy - a good answer to a genuine question. I imagine there might be a number of holders out there who have wondered the same thing as me, so airing questions like this on here should be seen as a positive thing (i.e. answering genuine concerns) rather than always been seen by some as attempts to undermine the share. Thank you for responding.
That's a great post Starbright. The one downside I potentially see, as with so many other AIM companies, is PIs getting screwed by a placing at a discounted rate to attract II. What are your thoughts on that possibility? I've been holding here for over two years so happy to watch this evolve in its own good time by the way.
Give it a break for goodness sake. I’ve had a go at Wyndrum at times and I’m no fan of his sentiments. But all he appears to be doing is wishing everyone good luck. He’ll probably be back to previous form next week if no news but who cares. More the fool anyone who is influenced. If anything his negative posts have encouraged Other posters to counter with better research and facts. I don’t see the need for personal grudges
I have to laugh when you get posters on here (mostly Wyndrum) saying gems like "the market doesn't like delays/missed deadlines/whatever....". As if the "market" speaks with one voice and Wyndrum or whoever is that voice!
DG - regardless of your semantics, the point I'm making to you is why should he care and why should he care about the frustration that he does or doesn't create amongst minor shareholders on a message board. I want him to hopefully make money for me not wet nurse posters on here.
