Tate and Lyle do not now own the popular sugar brand you see in the shops but the American company that do own it use the brand name. Otherwise in normal times would be ok but nothing is safe even gold can go down!

At some time the dividend will be restored. Zero interest rates unhelpful for this kind of company but it continues to be an important pension provider. It may attract an offer from a foreign insurer Swiss German American Chinese. So think little chance of losing your investment

To be fair the SP is an aberration ! but with non existent rate on short term cash anyone’s guess how long it will last and indeed because the earnings are safe the aberration maybe accentuated even more! As long as you know what you have got!
