Why is a spot ETF good for bitcoin?

The chief benefit of a spot bitcoin ETF is that it would allow investors to buy and sell bitcoin without having to set up an account on a cryptocurrency exchange. Given the legal hot water many of those exchanges now find themselves in, an ETF could reduce investors' exposure to fraud or legal enforcement.

A Bitcoin futures ETF issues publicly traded securities that offer exposure to the price movements of Bitcoin futures contracts.

Bitcoin futures contracts are agreements between traders to buy or sell Bitcoin at an agreed price on an agreed date, regardless of what happens to the price on or before that date.

... shame its not a spot ETF ... opposed to a futures version (i'm assuming , stand to be corrected) ... but its a start of hopefully institutional adoption this side of the Atlantic.... the US hopefully will approve the first spot ETF this / next year 🤞

Jez, would it really make sense to be completely open about certain aspects of the product / testing / production, other than to your potential customer, for now, as indeed you question as below..

I think all that can be said here ... has been said .... we're exhausted .... its a ticking clock now... all eyes on BTC breaking through that 31.5k resistence ... for now at least !

Every day is a day closer to the #Bitcoin  halving. Although the date fluctuates as the countdown continues, my guess is the halving will occur in the first two weeks of April.

Being well positioned 4/6 months prior to the halving always has paid dividends for many in the past.

A significant 6 months for QBT !
