I'm still watching with interest here, do you know why they chose the company in Spain? It says they modify Napkin machines to perform other tasks, there's a UK company that makes machines, just wondered why they chose that particular one.

Their parent company Investor AB is worth looking at, they are into our NHS in a number of ways.
Call it negativity if you want but my honest opinion is that it's just another IIRC mask until performance testing shows the extra benefits.
At that point the real value will reveal itself, I'm watching with interest.

@ettrading Point I was trying to make yesterday about my visit to a hospital is the guards on the door had been given orders to tell those wearing fabric masks to take them off and put on an IIRC they had a supply of, so your " homemade etc. not acceptable" premise has merit, it's obviously been discussed recently.

@hamsters18 Would love to chat about the mask types but I'm about as welcome here as a dose of Herpes and nobody here really interested in the details.

hamsters18 I've been telling folk on here about FFP masks being best for ages, I believe all mask types have their place but not sure why IIRC are even classed as PPE because they are not designed to protect the wearer ie. "PERSONAL" protection equipment.
EN149 is the basic certification a mask should reach to be classed as true PPE

People have tax bills to pay this month and many thought it would be done last year, Christmas Eve in Russia, my guess was fireworks next week. Third dip I've experienced like this with EUA, all you you have to do is wait.

monty You're a guy that does his research, I don't know how science savvy you are but my concerns about the P2F mask are completely justifiable, as yet no quantifiable differences in performance measured. I think some of those ramping there are some of the sickest puppies on LSE.
The claims being made on there are completely unsubstantiated so go preach your pious rubbish to somebody who cares.
Time will show me to be correct, they may sell but they'll make no difference over an ordinary IIRC.

Mr Cave must be so busy taking orders that he can't provide us with some performance testing to show us how this ordinary IIRC mask is (if it gets certified) is an improvement over the 10p IIRC masks.

The breathability test is part of the tests to meet certification as an IIRC mask, that is all, it then has the same certification as a 10p 3 ply mask. Check the other RNS where it mentions certification as one caveat the 1million unit order would require, and another was it passing some other performance tests. Meeting the same standards as the 3 ply IIRC is the bare minimum.

Showmedamane Cost, plain and simple, so if you guys are wanting money that's getting anywhere near the cost of an FFP you better have some proof of performance, they will never match a fitted FFP mask though. All the medical staff that have caught Covid at work were wearing IIRC, those using FFP3 100% safe. Right from day one it was FFP masks health care workers were crying out for. Remember the pictures with nurses with marks on their face from wearing mask all day, that's because they were fitted FFP respirators.
No wonder this country is in the sh1*, 9 months in and people still don't even know the difference.

No, yours will be over priced IIRC masks and that's why they won't sell into the NHS.
The NHS does not care how many layers, it will not care about an AV layer if it is not proven to be of any benefit, Hardshell are already manufacturing, they can sell all the FFP masks they can make because they are in short supply, IIRC are plentiful and very cheap.
