Thanks for that input ngninv, saw that photo and realised how little i knew! Have done a little reading and a little wiser now on the parts on show. Been mentioned before about trading update issued early last June but not one 2016 or 15. Suppose i am not alone in feeling that we will not get one this year? The silence both written and verbal must have a reason behind it...

Agreed the ending of the AVX licence fees is a concern at this present time, nothing can be done about that. Heres hoping we have others in the near future to compensate. However i see AVX fully embracing this supercap revolution and that`s got to bode well for the long term. Considering Murata have been a licencee for 10yrs and AVX 2yrs...i,m just hoping Murata start to show as much enthusiasm,develop others products and keep their royalties growing. Its looking very good medium to long term imo......and that will do for me.

Thats a very impressive offering from AVX.! SCC, SCM along with the 48v+16v modules , the soon to be launched Prizmacap its easy to imagine AVX royalty payments overtaking those of Murata in the not too distant future. Murata. have not launched a new Cap-xx ip product since Jan 2017 and are still only producing the DMH,DMF,DMT and the UMAL....wondering why Murata do not have a range of cyl supercaps (apart from umac) considering the forecasted size of the future market, maybe something in the pipeline. Would be nice to see another product from Murata, maybe a larger Umal...sometime soon.

MY understanding of this is Polar twin advance are the former former contract manufacturers (demoted to assemblers only) that the idle machinery was acquired from.

i,m presuming the machinery recently required has something to do with this deal. the supplier issue a while back was a change in the specifications of the suppliers products.....NO issue on production facilities.everything fit for purpose as far as i am aware. CAP-XX recently announced the signing of a new contract manufacturing agreement with Nationgate Technology which is located in Penang, Malaysia. Nationgate will acquire the necessary plant and machinery from CAP-XX's Lane Cove facility and commence the assembly of supercapacitors early in calendar year 2010. Transition plans are well underway: the first items of equipment were shipped in September 2009. Initial payments have already been received from Nationgate. Polar Twin Advance, our established contract manufacturer, will continue in their current capacity as an assembler of supercapacitors for CAP-XX. These two contract manufacturers will give CAP-XX the capacity required to meet the expected market demand from areas outside the scope of the Murata agreement. of course if you are aware of anything different, please inform.

There was never certainty here...never found an Aim share yet with that attached!!...if you manage to find one let me and the rest of this board know....pretty please. All i see is right product at the right time ...energy harvesting, regenerative braking, wireless charging, battery environmental issues, possible battery material shortages, the need for more power in smaller packages...the list goes on and on.Supercaps appear to be an integral requirement. I read, i try to understand and i invest what i can afford (no not what i can afford to lose what i can afford to invest). Why does AK have to have an exit strategy?

Yes i am very confident we will get our share of the market, in fact i think through royalties eventually we will have a very large percentage. The performance difference of Cap-xx tech supercaps to those without is widening all the time, with the new recipe (3.0v) integrated soon the difference will increase. it will be a case of coming to Cap-xx or getting left behind.... i dont really see any competition regarding supercaps for the small mobile devices... Automotive i am inclined to believe that they received better offers very close to the launch of their original products but needed a better product and time to develop. Truck start if similar to the Maxwell offering would have been on the market a couple of years ago....we have developed something better, hopefully adopted by the truck manufacturer Only time will give the answers to a lot of your questions...i am prepared to wait to get these answers.
