me personally i am ruling out the Umal as well...not a supercap and too heavy. whatever is in here is very small and very light..
but of course this is only my opinion and anyone elses is more than welcome.

tia...when have i ever said that the Umac was Cap-xx tech? please if you are going to post something please try and get the basic facts right!
please try and understand whats posted...we/posters were seeing the Umac as an alternative to Cap-xx tech being used.
And as i have said before...its the cowards way out to say we are not involved...give me some reasoning as to why not and i will listen...come on tia, just one bit of evidence that says we are not!

with the know weight difference of 0.3 g and also the addition of this bluetooth module and antenna i,m now taking the umac out of my reckoning....prismatic supercap for me.

The umal IS cap-xx tech came about after the extension of the licence agreement to include batteries up to 50mah.

The Umal is far superior to the umac.

the umal is ours but its not a supercap.

well i,m a little puzzled.
our smallest cans are at 6.3mm dia...the best available. avx paid Cap-xx a tidy sum of money to improve the performance and size of their cans with our ip.
to get smaller supercaps we go into prismatic...and now we have people suggesting that a smaller can or prismatic supercap without Cap-xx tech is powering this stylus.
well i am waiting to see with interest just who and what this is.

well if thats the case the market should have been informed.

The phone has been took apart and analysed...the whole tech world is waiting to see whats powering the stylus....why nothing so far...has got to be negotiations still on going.
At least we know in this case the 24th is the longest we will have to wait.

Agreed KazPat...i have even thought are they using the stylus casing as the packaging for the supercap?

if the stylus is powered by the umac supplied via Murata then why the secrecy...surely this would have been in the open by now?

A umac would be described as a battery and not a supercap...imo.

my thinking is that if the weight has increased by 0.3g and the umac weights 0.29g then with the addition of the other required pats inside the stylus it would have to be something lighter.

well we do not want a umac in the stylus as it does not have our tech.
what else would they have to add to the stylus to enable bluetooth?

8.8mm is the thickness of the phone the note 9 stylus give or take a fraction of a mil is the same size as the note 8 stylus.

oh yes i hope so,
think we will be looking at a very different company come christmas time with a sp to match...Tremendous potential.
