supercapacitor market forecast to be worth $2.18B by 2022 there seems to me to be a change occuring in the major manufacturers.
AVX up to licensing Cap-xx tech....one supercapacitor product available (bestcap), now offering a complete range of cylindricals with thinline prismatic( prizmacap) forecast to arrive shortly.
TDK at this present time offering the one product ....the edlc device that more than likely has been produced infringing our patent...more than likely will be releasing newer products very shortly....with our ip.
Murata so far just producing Prismatic and so far shying away from Cylindrical.
According to Reuters AVX...
"The Company competes with Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd., TDK Corporation, Kemet Corporation, Yageo Corporation, Taiyo Yuden Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., TE Connectivity, Amphenol Corporation, Molex Incorporated and Erni Electronics."
From this list of competition theres only Murata,Kemet.Taiyo Yuden and Vishay that manufacture supercapacitors....all offering Cylindrical types only (with the exception of Murata, who of course license our tech)
My point is the ones manufacturing will need to produce prismatic and the ones that are not yet manufacturing will need to start doing so...sharpish to take their share of the market
They will imo follow the example of AVX and TDK and license our tech.....
Electronic manufacturers will want their share of this booming market, and the only way they will produce a device to compete is with our ip....
The small players currently providing the market with inferior products will drop away, unable to compete.
Happy Happy days ahead.....the speed of licence adoption will escalate soon.
of course just my opinion.
