The only other product Murata produce with Cap-xx tech other than the soon to be discontinued supercaps is the Umal...

So why would Murata decide to discontinue Supercapacitors?
Might just be a case of they need the manufacturing space, they have been under pressure to produce more MLCCS.
OR ...when the licensing agreement was set up in 2008 it was with the intention of getting supercaps into mobile phones, maybe Murata have developed a mobile phone battery that will not require a supercap....
Murata have never really seemed to embrace supercaps....10yrs of development and about 4 products to show for it....never took on the cylindrical licence. With the Mclaren battery completed the timing looks promising.
Just get a feeling they are moving onto bigger things....hoping they are dragging us with them.
Just my thoughts....trying to put a positive spin on it.

i did wonder if they were withdrawing from the licence agreement but the Umal seems ok.Lots of possibles here...will just wait and see what develops.
Murata ceasing supercap production,passing orders onto Cap-xx and concentrating on Battery development with Mclaren would not be too bad though eh!!

Don't think it's anything to do with supercapacitors Last season they had fan boost which was something similar. My understanding is the normal run rate is 200kwh with the battery boosted to 225kwh/250kwh for these extras. It's all in the battery and software.

It is now.....just had notification from my broker the shares are deemed worthless and will be removed from my portfolio.

Mr AK never seemed to have a problem finding something to mention via podcasts, proactive interviews,product video presentations...until the sharesoc presentation....then its more or less been silence.

You might not consider it important but everything they do they do for a reason. Words from the BOD are words...we have had plenty of them over the last few years, they are becoming meaningless.....
The history of the company and their actions they cannot hide or sway from....i would just like to know the reason why they have decided to keep communication to a bare minimum with their investors....or at least their small investors.
