Thanks for the reply. I called ig and they told me to ignore that email i didnt need the nonk exustent anc proxy form and all i needed to do was email corporate.actions@ xx.com with my the account number, my full name, the share name and my holding, the date of the egm , the motion being voted on and my vote. All done now will see if they respond tomorrow.

...and with IG if you want to attend in person they charge £120 for the letter !

If you’d like to vote by proxy, you’ll need to send us a signed proxy form available from the relevant company’s website.

I think I am right in thinking that no matter what the NAV it isn't necessarily reflected in the share price and IMHO that is certainly likely to be the case with AMC if the deal were to happen .... which I don't will be the case.
On another note rom my ageing recollection of the last Crede vote at which I was present where the Board in public were recommending it, a show of hands was clearly against it, the motion failed. I don't recollect them then going to a count of proxy votes. I can't help but wonder if thats whats happening here as someone else pointed out this deal is so bad they doubt RY is really for it, but a rejection by shareholders gives him the clout to go back and renegotiate. All the stuff about maybe paying a div m maybe paying a portion, at various stages was bound to infuriate shareholders , if they really wanted it to go through they would have said nothing, either that or whoever worked the RNS was totally incompetent.

Just a point of note for those saying they think tjis is the only deal and it has to be voted through (not me) the offer from the buyer foes not dictate whst happens to the money on receipt, not distributing it to shareholders is RY and the board alone tying it into the deal for their benefit not yours. I havent seen a single poster on here suggesting that RY and his cronies are a great business team to utilise our money , yes our money we as shareholders own the company, as the best team in the world to look after and grow that money for the next 15 years.

Just registered my No on IG, will do Barclays tomorrow, I was 59 when I first bought shares in AMC, I'm now 72.
Not going to give myself a hard time for being a sucker for the past 13 years but definitely not going to be for another 15

If the buyer wanted the deal to go through, this is Russia, the deal would go through, blaming the government, or any one else, is just what you do, Young has never taken responsibility for his incompetence or deceit it's always someone else's fault.

What about this other offer, no mention of that, was there even one, why aren't we party to info on them , if they even exist.
No mention of dividends to shareholders, why....because there aren't going to be any.
Been looking at other projects have you, I thought this was a deal that just came out this way because of the Russian government that you have been trying to negotiate a better deal with, so really you have been thinking all along how can we keep the gravy train going and not pay the shareholders.
Why would we trust you to run any other project, your track record is that of a geologist and explorer, you have zilch skills at developing or running a project, your negotiation skills have been rubbish, no one trusts you, you have never kept to a timeline, you have milked the shareholders here for over a decade and you think we will continue to fund you for another 15, are you mad, are we mad?
The only deal that ever brought in anything was the one Adam Habib did, questionable as that was, it was not your deal, it was his, and as soon as it was done he was gone.

Shares in Nominee Accounts.
The AMC website has a list of where shares are held, it would appear that over 70% is in retail nominee accounts i.e. interactive, barclays , hargreaves etc
It would appear retail shareholders hold the power here, so your vote counts, not voting will probably be a vote for 'Proposal' as non utilised proxy votes tend to go with the proposal.

Firstly as of now I cannot find the circular as referred to in the RNS on the Amur website, I don't think its up there yet if someone can find it please post the link.
Important to note the first word on yesterdays RNS is 'Proposed' , that's because until shareholders vote in favour it's only a proposal.
While it's preferable to attend, because there may be shenanigans at the meeting, It's important to also note that you do not have to attend the meeting to vote, you can register your vote with your broker.
If you are going to attend be sure to request your authority to vote letter from your broker as soon as possible as they take time to issue, I would suggest this week, I have waited almost 2 weeks in the past for these to arrive, Some brokers are quicker than others in issuing. This letter says how many shares you have authority to vote with, some brokers charge for this, others don't.
If you can't make the meeting remember every vote counts, you are not powerless, you have a vote.
In order to cast and register your votes call your broker, a broker is who you bought your shares through, ie Barclays, IG, Hargreaves etc, the department you want to get through to either to vote by proxy (with your broker rather than attend) or by attending is normally referred to as 'Corporate Actions'.
A point to note until the company issue the circular and the motions that are going to be voted on the broker can't register your vote and as far as I can see that hasn't been done yet despite it being referred to in the latest RNS.
Your best point of contact in registering either for the letter or doing your proxy vote is your broker, its pointless trying to contact the company, even if you could contact them they would just refer you to your broker.
If you hold shares with more than one broker you will need to contact them all.

Some on here seem to think this is a black and white issue, imho it's not. If the 'Proposal' is rejected by shareholders it gives the 'Board' the authority to go back to the proposed purchaser and renegotiate as per the shareholders collective wishes.
Whether you want this proposal to go through or not it's important that you vote otherwise you are giving your vote to RY to utilise as he sees fit.
Take the 5-10 minutes and register your votes, not much more than it takes to write a post on here and it's your money at stake here, you have a choice, I suggest you use it.

I'll vote against, this is a rubbish deal for shareholders, We have voted against RY's schemes in the past and defeated him and I believe we can do it again, initial reaction may be to feel powerless but we are not.

Volume over 5m again today, major transfer/acquisition of shares going on, and appear to be getting fed into the market from the placing shares which allows anonymous accumulation

3 holdings RNSs', Seems Cantor Fitzgerald took 15m but almost 28% of those , over 5m shares then went to a third party, thats just under the 3% reporting limit.
Another anonymous large holder or am I missing something here?

IG doesn't just have leveraged accounts (spread bets and cfds') it also has both ISA and normal share accounts and I have been trading in them for many years - including with AMC. Geng is absolutely correct in what he stated, he is not lying - thats a pretty uninformed and presumptive statement - I too have tried to buy both on quote and limit orders and have been denied with the same message that tells ne I am only allowed to close not buy

3pm and volume now at over 10million, someone is buying them.

Some very large trades going through 11.49am 1m @ 5.43, vol on AIM at 12noon is already 3.2m, sells/buys doesn't really matter as every sell has to have a willing buyer and vice versa

Government is already finding it externally difficult to keep up subsidies re energy, power and fertiliser...and the real inflationary effect and supply difficulties are yet to unfold!

Bringing Phulbari Coal on line will relieve the situation... To understand its importance... Consider that the Phulbari 572 million tonne resource is equivalent to 70%of the gas reserves that have powered Bangladesh over the last 50 years!.. It's that important!

Following on from my earlier posts re personal and political agendas.
How much news do we hear about the fact that Bangladesh already does extensive open pit mining in relation to it’s brick industry. There are some 7,000 Brick Kilns operating in Bangladesh and the average land for these is 2.5 acres, i.e., that’s 17,500 acres (over 7,000 hectares) just for the kiln and brick yard ….. this does not include the VERY extensive amount of land that’s been “open pit mined” for the clay over many decades and that which is being mined today!
This land is permanently lost to agriculture as the mining of say 5 - 10 metres depth over a very large area leaves the land unusable and prone to be seasonal lakes.

A lot of info in the fact sheet which I have never seen publicised elsewhere or mentioned by the Energy Minister or any other parliamentarians.....how about ...a 2017 report indicated that 58% of pollution (PM2.5) in Dhaka’s air is due to 1200 brick kilns in the vicinity and that an earlier report in 2013 suggested that contributed to 5000 deaths annualy.

In contrast the 'Phulbari Coal Project will need some 5,900 hectares over it’s 30 plus years mine life, and about 2,000 hectares at any one time for active mining with the balance being land ahead of mining and land restored back to agriculture post mining. The mine closure plan will see all land restored and rehabilitated for agriculture (including forests and a small lake).
