I agree on something simple to say but a truism here: anything could happen as Dip says, decisions have been made that dumbfounded me in the past here, like the 5% decline.

However, I do believe there is a plan or 'plans' like plan A and Plan B and maybe even, knowing SD, a Plan C in this case! Others at board level will have been put into place in their new roles to be strategic and GROW our business.

Sd has been buying tenements all over the Paterson and has appointed his new forcefield of steel for a reason known only to him and them; but there IS a reason and we have to assume it is positive to us. What Newmont and Newcrest will do will decide which way we have to pivot but building is clearly the objective on our part, one way or the other.

I have no idea how this will play out and wait with bated breath but have to believe there is more than one plan and pretty sure there will be; to our advantage one way or the other!

SJ was right about something of course. When I awoke in Central America where I was at the time of 38p I remember thinking.....some sensible friends would tell me sell sell sell.....but then I thought of all the stock I had sold in the past for mere pennies of profit when they subsequently rose to steaming great heights of pounds plus....!

It ever was thus....luck as well as needs and wants....play a big part as does sentiment and experience.

Let's hope this pays off!

I could wait for either opportunity of the two I/We hold out for, but at least you sold some in the 18's. I haven't sold a bean...so hoping patience and continued research brings ultimate reward.

Looking ahead to that £1 party and seeing you there or at least 50 p lus.
Many may scoff...but at least we are putting out money where our mouth is! :-)

Thanks for sharing SJ. I have to say I think a lot of us regret the 38p miss.....but at least you got some of it.

Matty that is an interesting observation re Newmont being in the picture now.

I believe that Newcrest itself has been a subject of speculation for takeover potential for some time, added to their shareholders venting on spend...and Sandeep's public dressings down plus Sandeep's minimalization of our true value.

Even Callum in the latest fascinating interview highlighted Newcrest's downplaying of our true size and value citing this new development with Newmont as an opportunity to basically, well...'tell the truth' (is what I heard?)

So bottom line is; I believe Newmont want Newcrest for obvious reasons, but whether they want and EG et al too remains to be seen. I think this is the battle potentially that SD might have depending on the jv agreement.

It all hangs on whether Newmont wish to operate in WA. Callum seems to think it unlikely they won't want us included in the deal.
But either way, he sees this bid as a win win for Greatland Holders. I truly hope he is right.

I am sorely torn between a quick fix taking the decision out of my hands for a complete takeout offer of 50p plus.OR.....a prolonged exquisite agony of another 3-10 years of us going mining and associated bonuses such as dividends in the more distant future....

Decisions decisions!!! But win win is what I needed to hear. Callum may be a geologist and not an entrepreneur in the same way SD is...but together I believe they make a formidable team!!

Could this be our needle in a haystack? Blinkin hoping so !! A lot needs to happen in the next year or so to show us which way we are headed!!

I agree TT. EG is something both Callum and Shaun have both mentioned with some sense of anticipation for a while now. And if there is a 5 m plus deposit lurking below then that is the catalyst we have all been praying for.
Now if Scally somehow hits too … we’ll then all bets are off !

Depending on what transpires we may or may not count …. But the current vibes are given SDs communications at town halls is that we do at the moment.
Just interesting. It’s an unusual stock to hold with its shareholding distributed amongst so many pis.
