However, I wonder how much we heed or don't heed Cullum's words as remembered in his latest interview with Bottle? I am intrigued that he appears to think it 'highly unlikely' that Newmont would walk away from the Paterson (which includes us and Telfer?

Genuinely I am wondering how right or wrong he might be? In any event, he reiterated, underlined, shouted from the rooftops (as much as Callum can shout anyway, that if the Newmont deal happens at all, it is a win-win scenario for us whichever and whatever the outcome.

There’s no smoke without fire but anything could happen at the moment. There’s got to be a reason for all this accumulating of super powers in the camp !

Might be a longer wait sadly but SD seems to be very serious about building a multi asset multi billion dollar business ….

As Bamps said there were over 20 last time and I suspect as many or more this time, tho not sure who atm.
I also am not sure whether it will be the pub from 4 ish onwards or the conference venue for the webinar although we will no doubt get the same from Shaun and I suspect more with live questions at his 6pm presentation, so unless we sneak a quick 45 minutes in the pub after the webinar then probably the pub from 4 ish onwards

I don't know how much SD will have to say/ be in a position to say/ Or know what to say , at this meeting by March 9th , but it will certainly be an interesting one for sure!

I would urge anyone that can to be present if they want to gather something realistic amidst all this speculation.

So many ways it could go ! But Wyloo's support and the Circle of Steel in place would suggest something is being talked about in the background !!

I think all the theories have now been exhausted!

I’m intrigued to see if Newmont on gaining even limited non public access to Newcrests inner secrets , garners an improved offer. If it dies then hopefully that means Hav is one of their juicy secrets !

Monkey see monkey do hey? Well I think Newcrest have been monkeys of late ! Ha!

Great to see this event taking place and as ever, believe it will be well worth attending! Let’s see how many of us make the effort ?

ps I know we have got this data before in other discussions re the mining of Hav but SD has just again recently presented this information. Speaks volumes....

I am just catching up so forgive me if already pointed out, but looking through the Bell Potter presentation, these words around production from SD when asked struck me as both specific and underlined (dependent on mining or total takeout that is)

*Q- Thank you very much, you know you spoke a lot about what's happening at Havieron, you touched on you know potential first production in sort of March 24 I think, you know what does the production ramp up there look like and you know what are your thoughts on achieving commercial production and what.. could you remind us again of sort of the ultimate production rate that's contemplated there?

A-- yeah Brad, look so we we're looking at a 400 to 450,000 kind of gold equivalent ounce profile for up for 100% of Havieron, the... when we think about this it'd be first ore in kind of the March or around March 2024 and then we have the ramp up following that
- one of the real advantages we have though is the existing plant there with Telfer, Train B presently is intended to be dedicated to Havieron, so you know you effectively have an already running plant sitting there at surface already manned up already performing well, so I think it means there's a an opportunity for our ramp up to be accelerated

Note the specific- TRAIN B IS PRESENTLY IS INTENDED TO BE DEDICATED TO HAVIERON

I know it has the caveat of 'presently' n there, but talks have already taken place with Newcrest on semantics...that's encouraging for anyone who is worried we won't be mined....

What I am waiting for is 'facts'!
Facts re Hav's updated resource count to date...facts re Tier 1 or Tier 2...and facts like DFS & DTM!
These factors are the ones that will allay or confirm fears on this board.

PS I'm aware nothing is officially being discussed with S/H re that event or non event etc etc...but the threat or promise of a t/o or merger always breeds some fear in some and incites excitement in others. Depends if you are trading or not especially

Is it possible some are selling in advance of the unknown report from NCT tmw night? In view of other events being mooted etc like a potential t/o of NCM?

I do agree that the price action this past two years has been …. Eeerm somewhat inactive ! In fact negative spiral. I’ve always maintained 20 p was my comfort level for a longer term more comfortable move upwards from there.

But there’s been a lot of flux and now we’re in the thick of more flux potentially given the various possibilities ahead.

I take comfort from the fact that Callum was at pains in this latest interview to point out the rubbish 2 years of SP here , but also at great pains to tell us he’s got all his 85 million shares intact still and everything in the background is great.

I get that he’s rich whichever way you look at those but don’t think it’s’ keeping the shareholders sweet talk ‘ I believe there are far greater things to come , painful though this all is.

And it IS painful. In my case at least. I’m the least patient person I know !!
