Good Morning Campers
Some light relief escapism from the current SP downer led me to watching Carltts suggest movie last night. Gold ! Great movie but chalk n cheese endings !
The story goes something like this. …
Back in the 80s our hero Kenny Wells ( aka Matthew MConnaghey who looks remarkably like SD minus the long locks incidentally! ) inherits the gold lust blood and guts of his intrepid explorer father before him and leads his small band of merry men to dig anywhere & everywhere to unearth hidden treasures ;but falls on hard times and empty holes.
In despair he moves away from safe jurisdictions to explore exotic climes ( in this case corruptly ruled & military patrolled Indonesia ) and meets up with famed but equally fallen on hard times geologist Mike ( a Panama wearing v dashing hero slightly better looking than our Callum lol!)
After blood sweat & tears ( and malaria for the main man )in lush but wild jungles and terrain a strike is discovered ! They’re rich ,says handsome geo as poor ole Kenny comes to from a three week malaria ridden coma )He’s riding on the crest of a wave ! They float the company on Wall Street , garner a myriad investors ,gain gazillions in the bank and are heroes. Until ….
Spoiler alert. Turns out to be a scam ! Handsome Mike has spiked the core sample shavings with river gold to fool the findings. Absconds with the raided paper loot before he gets foundout , ruining millions ; goes missing in the jungle presumed dead and eaten by wild pigs ( truly ..lol!) and all is thin air and puffs of smoke !
So back to earth from this Hollywood tale ..and our own real explorer and geo in situ ! The real explorer and Geo!
Though it all seems like a haze and a dream where we sit at 7 odd pence and surrounded by fud from some .. we’re in safe and prosperous WA ; not some rainforest hellhole . The world is crying out for real treasure: and we found a mother lode ! Our leader went to real banks and investors in exchange for real golden shiny stuff , and has the funds in place to extract it ,with a circle of steel ready to ward off predators.
Hollywoods fools gold was never really there but ours is the real deal. I wait patiently for the rollercoaster ride to end with the exhilarating rush of our invested monies well spent in the end ! Well that’s our story I hope ! There’s real gold here and we found it !
