i expected the shorters to pull this down lower but i thought they'd be a bit steadier than drop it all in one day. Great load up opportunity though. I'm intrigued how low they might try to pull this further down. Lowest i got them at during covid was 115. Would love to be able to buy some more at that price but i can't see it happening. Mind, these share markets are absolutely crazy atm!

Trying to catch the bottom is a futile exercise. Buy when you see value & upside far outweighs downside. The shorts could take this far lower if they want to but they're playing a riskier game the lower they try to take it. On any positive news you're likely to see a short squeeze here as the shorts run for the door!

The bulk of this company's business is international. The UK is only a small part of NEX's operations. Short sellers just capitalising on this nonsense.

This is probably more to do with BoE raising base rate i suspect

7% drop from an already 52 wee low because of a bus strike is utter nonsense. Ignore the noise & buy at this level! crazy!

Jtan, 'something is going on here'. Yes, an opportunity has arisen to buy shares cheaply courtesy of short sellers capitalising on people's fears. Loads of perfectly good shares have seen their SPs hammered for no good reason over the last few months so NEX is not alone. Time to just sit back & buy these shares with what you feel comfortable, then forget them for a few months or whatever then come back & pick the fruit off the trees!

i bought another tranche here today @60.5. I really can't see why this has fallen this far. I remember buying this during covid @88p which was near a bottom then. I sold them ones a long time back for a nice profit. As i see it the company is in much better shape than it was then. Just bizarre really but i'll keep adding on further drops as this is due a correction IMO

This stock went from Covid lows @111 to rally in the months following the vaccine to 330+. I was invested quite heavily here during that time. NEX is in a far better position now than it ever was during those times. As with many stocks bearish funds & short selling are driving this stock down again. IMO this is the type of stock to invest money at these prices for a period longer than a few days/weeks or months. You just need to look at the SP charts over the last 20+years. In normal/stable times this stock should be at least in the £3-4 range. Just need to take your position here & wait that is all. This may have a fair bit to fall yet & none of us now for sure where the bottom may be but on any sign of good news this will be back above £2 again at least!

You only have to look at stocks like IAG bashed to 90p a couple months back. Now back towards 140. These big stocks always bounce back hard. This business is very well run. Only external factors which feed the short sellers!

Jtan, not sure how long you been in on this one but during covid i was probably the most constant poster on this BB. I had over 50k of these shares at one time. I missed the big vaccine rally by about a week having sold the bulk to buy something else. I'd bought in since @270s but pulled out at a loss as saw a bit of a fall coming. This company is in great shape as far as i can see & this drop is just about the macroeconomic stuff. I bought back here today. Only a few 000 for now but intend to add if the weakness continues!

This is a great share @these prices simples. i see this as a risk free investment (comparatively) just need to sit this one out & have patience. Good, solid business. Hugely undervalued this one i will continue to add here on any dips!

i'd expect this to drift lower still in the absence of news however at these levels the upside massively outweighs the downside for those with a bit of patience. When this share decide to move up it moves very quickly!

The current Govt is clueless & this is becoming starkly obvious to the markets. Look at the country. Everyone striking. Huge inflation; interest rates rising. It's a mess & that's why lots of businesses are being poorly valued. Companies can't give realistic guidance in this environment. Every trading update of late has trounced shares due to the outlook statement regardless of how results look!

That's because during peak covid people thought it would all go away in weeks. With all the current stuff they expect it to drag on for years. It's about expectations & uncertainty IMO. The drop here is fairly subdued compared with other stuff. People are buying into the dips. This is a quality share but i suspect this has lower to fall still!

Well the trading update was so lack lustre & negative the SP tanking didn't surprise me. Very annoying as i was nicely in the green here before that. Good to see a large investor thinking the same & voicing it off to the company!

well that letter will boost this share quite a bit i would guess. People will jump in on any talk of takeover target etc!
