sell! This is buy, buy, buy time. Accumulate, accumulate. Golden opportunity. Need to rise above this short term nonsense. Good quality business being sold at 70% discount. Absolute bargain time!
RE: more price squeezing next week on the card19 Mar 2023 15:58
Haha Locky too right when i saw this debut comment i recognised the avid Doc Marten ramper. DOCS & 888 are shares with red flags draped all over them. Bit ridiculous to come over here now with that daft comment!
Teddy, did you get out of Boo then? i bailed too early there too & put the cash in here. This is my biggest holding by far but sub 130 average so should reap a nice payday here at some point. Got holdings in Wood; GNC; & 2 dogs PFC & THG.
Locky, maybe i'm showing my age a bit here but in answer to your Q re the striking. 'wildcat' striking &'flying pickets' etc are things of the past. Thatcher made all that stuff illegal. The union has to give notice of planned action. I'm finding the statements by Unite really quite intriguing actually when they announce 'indefinite' action. There is simply no way IMO drivers will go out indefinitely. They will not let their kids go hungry or default on mortgages over this. My view is this nonsense will be over in a few days at most!
The prudent question you perhaps should be asking yourself is not whether it might be 105 next week but whether it might be £2 or £3 in a year or 2. If you don't see the potential it's probably best to invest elsewhere!
Salhaj, i've seen a few comments from you asking is this SP going to 105 or 110 or whatever. The answer of course is noone knows. It could be sub £ 1 by next Friday or before then. It could be over £2 as well. My question to you is this do you see value here at 119? if not why do you want it at 110. You've got to be in to win. It's really that simple. Your comments remind me of banter i had on Card Factory. I was waiting for 28p. It got to 29p then sailed off to where it is now. Pay your money take your chances!
Folks this SP level is not being caused by the strikes IMO. This is about the uncertainty caused by the banking stuff. Look around at other shares. All taken a fair old hit! Your average bus driver will not be able to afford to lose cash 'indefinitely' i suspect most will feel a lot of pain at losing 1 or 2 days pay. In the end their mortgage/car finance company/supermarket cashier will still want paying & they can't pay them with thin air. The strike stuff will be old news by end of next week!
People were clambering to get this sub 140 after results. Now people are pooing themselves when it's 25p lower & the business is running just the same as it was then!
it's similar to covid doom & gloom again. People would normally rush for these prices. It's the psychology of fear. People are too scared to buy now but they'll buy at 140 when the BBC news sounds better!
This drop has little to do with the strike stuff IMO. Look at the broader market. e.g. IAG has dropped from 170 to 130 in a few weeks. Lots of shares been clattered across the board!
Peeps give the shorters too much credibility. Marshall Wace is the only one i've seen which usually calls things right. the ones in here are pretty opportunist IMO.
Director buys are a choice of an individual. It is their money Noone elses business! They aren't allowed to buy sometimes for regulatory reasons. People overthinking things here! just relax & have patience. The stock market is a machine which transfers money from the impatient to the patient!
JG, PFC has gone to pot. I used to have a stack of cash in there. That's a bullet i dodged! Well i still hold a few but i'll use them as a tax writedown as they're in a trading account. i hadn't really been following it anymore tbh but just looked when i saw your post. 60p ffs!
LG, yes a lot of cash i know but actually thinking of adding. I don't normally buy this big but i have a 10 year mindset with this. It's a pension supplement!
