for this reason i only ever use stop/loss as a profit lock in mechanism, not a loss mitigator!

in a nutshell the only losers ultimately here will be those who lose their nerve/cool ( & some will!) & panic sell at a loss. everyone who hangs in will make money here!

Super, i believe this is the auto trade system playing games. SP manipulation, happens big time on shares like IAG & i believe this to be same. In a nutshell, MMs buying/selling same share, drives price down. PIs panic sell & stop losses triggered. Once SP reaches desired levels MMs hoover up the cheap stuff & drive price up again!

Noggers on your logic of picking up a 10p gain in one day. If you'd bought at 66p, would you have sold the next day for 76p?

about 2m on quiet days, 3-4m like now when SP moving a bit. 9m on volatlile days. less than 1m pre covid!

looking at buys/sells/aftertrades etc is really rather pointless i think. Need to contextualise what is going on. E.g yesterday 3.8m volume of shares traded, but hey there are 614m shares in circulation. My belief (correct me if i'm wrong) is the SP is dictated by the amount of shares being pumped onto the market for sale at any one time. not necessarily the amount that are being picked up. All to do with the auto trading systems etc. big fiddle really & from a PI perspective irrelevant

i think NEX is a way better investment than BDEV/CCL. You'll agree with me in time as well! much more solid. this current nonsense is a blip. if you have spare cash buy the bargain, if not sit tight & wait. this share won't stay at these levels forever. History tells us this is always the case!

CBB/Noggers. The markets see this as a rubbish transport stock going nowhere, making losses with no CEO. I see a global, diversified business with plenty of capital to weather the storm. Yes, they made a HY loss of £60m, so what. how can you make a profit when you can't trade? this business is resilient & strong & will come back. There is a trading update in October & the new CEO at that time will be telling the City slickers how wrong they got their pricing on this one!

Noggers you have made no mistake buying these shares. You saw a bargain & you bought it. The bargain just became double cheap that's all & you're annoyed. You will still make a juicy profit just not as much as if you'd waited. you thought you'd bought at the bottom as did i. we didn't but so what, this is a guaranteed earner you know that really!

CBB & Noggers, you both invested here similar times to me. the share drop is annoying i agree. However this will change believe me. CBB don't get spooked & bail out. You will end up crying if you do that guaranteed. Look you win some & lose some in this game but what i've realised is if you're patient you always win & if impatient you lose, & lose big sometimes! i watched in agony yesterday, not this, but Melrose rise 17%. That's a share i've ducked in & out of many times & made a lot of wedge on. i missed their party yesterday. but i'm staying here on this one as the party is imminent. Suffer the pain, savour the gain. Stay calm. chill the weekend!

if this does 10% rise for 2 or 3 mornings, i think we can safely say it has turned around!

why is this volume being suggested as 'shockingly low' ? 2m shares tradied by 13:00 is rather high in my book. a low vol day here is sub 1m which was normal volume pre covid!

at least today shows just how quick this little blighter can move when it wants to!
