it's above you. scroll up. i don't think most people would be on here if they thought it was a bad investment. Always a few trolls but just add a bit of humour really!
what 2030 news? Bojo spouting****** with no plans. JWD read the RNS. If you believe Bernard Looney's plans will work. Invest. If not, invest elsewhere. Simple really!

hellyeah, very much my thoughts too. i'd been watching this share for a couple months anyway & bought a tranche @88 as seemed a complete no brainer at that price. Since the vaccine stuff it went up a lot then retraced. Seems a real bargain & i'll buy more tomoz i think @ this level!
People will move to EV in their droves when Government policy makes it economically viable. Personally i'm well & truly sold on the concept of EVs. Make them affordable & practical & i'll upgrade my diesel tomorrow. As we all know by now, the current government is a 5hitshow talking utter BS & i don't believe a word that BoJo says. Allowing that bully to stay in office shows he's lost control & is incapable of the demands of the job! sooner he's out the better!
A bid is certainly not out of the question. Look at the amount of takeover attempts in last couple months. RSA, William Hill etc. Now is the time if ever to swoop!
My view is the BP SP effectively tanked after Looney's August statement about renewables & divi cut. Once the vaccine news hit, real world economics started to kick in & this trend will continue. There will be a protracted increase in oil demand (already evidenced in oil futures price) Institutions will start to return to BP as a mainstay of their portfolios as best income earner around. BP will plough profits into share buybacks & in 2-3 years max this share will be back to £5-£6!
Oil use has only fallen due to covid. Once all world economies are opened again, oil will be used more, as more demand from developing nations for automation problem with oil really is it's a finite resource which is becoming more & more expensive to extract. That will drive a move to renewables more than anything Greta says!
the ban on petrol cars won't happen. It's one thing to make a statement but another to provide the backbone behind it & i've seen none from this pathetic government. Give us some news on how they're going to help all motorists to change to electric without incurring huge costs. I'll change to EV tomorrow if i can have an EV for a reasonable cost. This is all pie in the sky & 10 years to do it is just a number BoJo pulled from his circus hat. It won't happen! In any event why would it affect the SP near term? OP will probably be nudging $50 PB this week & SP will rise accordingly. When the green revolution does actually happen BP are the best placed oil major to embrace it anyway!

i was looking at the forecast for the FY20 results on the last RNS. Doesn't look to bad to me £1.2b+ revenue, £85m ebitda. A drop from 2019 yes, but SP has halved. This looks very undervalued!
