in all honesty, you usually see a dip early doors after a big day rise. Depends how keen you are for a position. No harm in putting a buy order in at e.g. 265 or any price really, then take a look in the morning to see if it's been executed. Or just take your chances & trade on the day! Noone has a crystal ball i'm afraid!

I have to say i was a bit surprised it didn't go sub 250 at least for a little while on the lockdown news but i got stung myself on last lockdown trying same strategy (sell & buy the tank) on another share so wasn't taking that chance here!

This is where this company is going seriously wrong IMO. They have the USP on price over competitors but not utilising their online presence. Very poor show in a lockdown situation where this is their sole revenue generator. I'm not invested here yet, so i see this without the invested blinkers on. Lots of potential here if they sort the online show out but until then it don't look good & i think the next update which should be imminent will push the SP lower! wait & see

seems to me all the potential downside news pretty much out the way now (lockdown/Brexit etc) one way street for this share now i think!

while i welcome this mornings market reaction to the lockdown, sadly it actually shows that noone takes anything this pathetic Government says or does now with any sense of seriousness. The deaths etc will continue to rise as everyone will just continue as normal!

Stocks/shares prices aside, i have to say i welcome a full lockdown. All that tiers BS; stop/start is a lot of nonsense. Just shutdown for a while so no excuses. Any SP dips will recover anyway. I'm not going anywhere from this stock for a good while yet anyway so doesn't bother me too much!

yes, my understanding was with all the redundancies/cost cuts etc, they were looking between 35-40 B/E. I think for me, in the end if OP is $50+ this is really no brainer price wise. Lockdown will cause a dip for sure but all shares will get hit. I think will be short lived though. I recall the November lockdown a bit of a dip first day of it then pretty much everything back to old prices the following day! Retail/hospitality will bear the brunt that's for sure!

might get 245 early doors when bedwetters get rinsed out but like with November lockdown prices will come straight back up again!

Ceders, i disagree with what you say here. In futures markets the price the producer effectively banks is the price of that future regardless of the due date of delivery so BP's Q4 results would be based on mainly $50+ OP. I've never seen B/E level cited at $45 either, only between $35-$40 which seems the common consensus!

i don't expect this to tank. Lockdown dip happened this afternoon as far as i see it. OP holding above $50. I think markets are weary of these lockdowns & while it's not good i think most people are savvied up to the fact that the shares dip for a day or 2 the back up again!

TomBeef, there's nothing wrong with Card Factory. There is something wrong with pathological rampers who see fit to call informed commentators scum & dumass because they don't like hearing reality. Lots of inexperienced/new investors read these BBs & it's only fair they hear true opinions based on facts rather than bumped up fake commentary by certain individuals who ramp for the sake of it & can't accept other's views. The SP is now in the 30s for the other dumass & it will fall further before it will go higher again. For sure it may double or rise like many other shares but there's no harm in people having a balanced view!
