I presume this is Beaufort, who to be honest, I don't have much faith in. However, hoping it's not as bad a picture as spike501 paints and there may be something here long-term. Don't know the companies you are talking about. -------------------------------------- I spoke to N+1 Singer, Aubrey Powell, our broker, mainly about their 'corporate' ratings that crop up from time to time for SBS. They mean that they have issued a new broker note on SBS but don't think they're available unless you are a client. They don't issue 'buy' or 'hold' etc as they might be changing too often and realistically, as they are the company broker, they wouldn't mean much as they are very positive on SBS anyway. I gave him my thoughts that the company would have more exposure to PI's on Aim but he wasn't sure and said I should maybe take it up with the company IR team. I feel sure such a listing would be beneficial for more exposure and is also cheaper. May follow up. Anyway, still great company IMO and I see Henderson think so again.

Saying all that, can't say I see today's Results as you as " awful, absolutely awful - unless there is a rapid change in oil prices soon there is nothing here for shareholders." We're more hedged than most companies and are set to ride out this oil price saudi-engineered joke. Everyone use up the World's finite resources - they're going cheap, who cares about the children.

jhericurls - by definition Finals covering up to Dec 31 aren't going to give us too many surprises or the company would have been failing in it's duties. Like the hedging amounts until 2017 and cost cutting and drilling cut-backs. Then, however, they seem, as usual, to go on about expansion and more financing. It seems the management can never just be content but are always trying to maximise shareholder value with more drilling and more financing. It doesn't wash. So this statement : "raising the Company's profile in the basin and allowing shareholder value to be maximized and, if appropriate, fully matured over the short-to-medium term." can be taken with a pinch of salt. Presumably, 'fully matured' means we can all get out in profit?!? Those who got out of this share at 18p, 12p, and 8p must be congratulating themselves on cutting their losses and running. The rest of us are stuck with these endless great RNS's that never seem to get us anywhere but lower. Hold.

Thanks for that update. Stop the volatility?! Can't really have liquidity without potential volatility. What're we going to do - go for suspension if there's more than a 5% swing? - lol. fortunaiuvataude - how do you pronounce that by the way? I remember Mark's dad taking quite a few off the table at around 50p odd about 18 months ago, and I thought fair-dos to him, he's done his thing. He obviously made a wise move there. Funny how building a company goes - seems there is a period of over-enthusiasm propelling the sp and then quite a long period to really build something. This seems to be in the same pattern as WSG where in both companies one can see 'more irons in the fire' and a growing business, and both definitely in growth sectors, yet the sp's are going through a couple of years of sliding.

Erazzel - I suppose you have sold a fair proportion of what has been sold therefore, in the last 2 weeks. No argument with that, we all pays our money and makes our choices. Perhaps GCO ain't that hot but think perhaps some of the purchase was to get in bed with it's previous customer base. You say " Word is this is going sub 10p and MR has bought a dead horse with GCO." This is cheap talk IMO, have you anything to back that up with? I could just as easily say, "Word is this latest downturn is just a glitch and everyone is tipping a quick reverse." I've got no proof. You probably know more about this company than I do having had such a huge investment and posting history on here. However I find on Mar 6th you say : "I have just had some unbelievable information first hand. All i can say is i am a so glad i have the holding that i do in APC. If anyone sells then you will hugely regret doing so in the next 6-14 months." So, now you're out perhaps you could spell out your 'unbelievable information', that, presumably, you now think is NOT going to happen. Not a good day here but.....no reason I can find. Can't see the 2m share dump you're talking of in fact only about 2.5m traded (Buys and Sells) in last 6 trading days. Think it'll be going back up Monday as no reason for drop. However, saying that, I've always felt it was a little 'wishy-washy' trying to make much money teaching people to save water (obviously simplistic). We may really be using the GCO purchase not just for that but to get their customers involved in other services. Don't think Mark's a fool though and he is putting the pieces together. Looking back at January's Final Results, we are a very diverse company now offering a very broad sustainability service and hopefully growing on a lot of fronts. Very disappointing today and the last months here but surely a great company in the right sector for the future. Cash too should not be a problem with the £1.5m we secured in Feb. -------------- Come on Harry - on the bench, noooo!

Although that's what it appeared to me, perhaps on second thoughts you are right and ONLY the one subsidiary (Engineering Ltd) is affected. God knows.
