The whole thing is a bit of a mess at the moment but presumably Chaarat were not just issuing the RNS because of rumours and if it's been on the table for 4 weeks, they must have a 'cunning plan' to not have dropped the idea.

Yes it's certainly weird. My gut feeling is the govt IS in favour of the deal and will back us. The Kyrgyz govt owns 26.6% of Centerra apparently and they are being offered in this deal 50% of the economic benefits of Kumtor instead. The only way this deal will be going ahead, therefore, is if Centerra have completely misunderstood the government's position or the govt have seriously changed their position lately. Developments will be swift if this is a non-starter - any time passes, perhaps the pressure is increasing on Centerra who are particularly despised in the Krygyz by all concerned, locals and govt alike. s

I don't think any of us was thinking quite as big as this, let's hope we can pull it off. Get the impression it's not a hostile bid but have yet to find any Centerra comment. They have been diversifying lately and have not been happy with the Krygyz for many a year. If anyone can wait a few years and gold price behaves or even rallies further and everything our mgmt team comes to pass, this company will be MASSIVE. Slide 14 shows our drilling program set to increase our resource and mine-life as we get on with setting up a producing mine : 30,000m a year for '18 and '19 then down to 15,000m to 20,000m pa thereafter along our 24km strike where we've explored 2km so far. Just watched that Proactive interview - fantastic. That Dusty Nicol seems like he has tremendous world-wide experience and knowledge and if this is the best prospect he's seen for about 45 years it's good enough for me. We're going full-steam ahead now - at last. 4-year life of the oxide mine we're confidently going to lengthen by 6 years or more. This company is going places and the sp is going with it. Gone are the days of Dekel and Linda waiting for the Chinese and kow-towing to their every whim. I am so confident after hearing that interview, maybe it'll take a while but I'd be surprised if the sp didn't keep rising from now on in if we start getting positive drilling results. Soon our drill results will just pile up our resources and reserves quickly to be exploited. Targeting 1m oz per year in about 5 - 7 years with M & A acquisition(s). Don't think, however, HGM could possibly be in our targets - far too big. Their m/cap is about 7 times ours, they've got masses of resource and are already producing from some of their projects. How could we buy or even help them?

Sadly not me - think I've got enough and, unfortunately, all my stock is withheld at Beaufort from whom I'm hopeful of it all returning around September ! Don't suppose that stops me gettingmore but it has rather knocked the wind out of my sails. I've emailed info@chaarat.com to see if they will be issuing anything from the CC. That is an excellent presentation they've put together and very clear what we've got and where we want to be. I suppose all the big gold and general mining companies would have begun in similar fashion gradually getting their own patch in order and then looking for growth. We haven't had the FS yet but don't think it's going to have any surprises. We pretty well know what it's going to be like and how it's going to need more from the drilling campaigns to get everyone excited. However, we've come this far and won't be turning back now, surely nothing in this latest FS could do that. You're right about that team we've go together Daisan, looks fantastic. No surprise that Dekel got ousted but surprised he needed to sell most of his holding for so little. Can't remember the exact details of all his and other's Options but 30p rings a bell.
