NH, do you not realise how foolish your comments are.

The whole purpose of investing is for the SP to rise.

Which would you prefer, a company that makes profits but whose share price falls (eg MKS) or a company that hasn't made profits (yet) but whose share price rises astronomically (eg OCDO).

Fortunately I chose OCDO.

I suppose many years of making profits and not losing money to "market manipulation" is all the proof I need. If I ever lose money that is down to my decision, not market manipulation.
I agree that there is manipulation of some AIM shares but with HMSO over 26 million shares are traded each day through SETS so it's difficult to see how MMs manipulate it.

Well said SOTOLO, so much nonsense on here about MM manipulation. Strangely it's always when the price goes down. No mention yesterday when it went up so much.

It's not opinion, MMs do not manipulate FTSE250 companies and the Motley Fool were fined for market manipulation.

Also, you quote Motley Fool as if they are reputable rather than the set of crooks that they are.

But the price will fall by the dividend on Thursday so you will be worse off after dealing charges.

I'm not sure what you mean.

That is the problem. There is nothing for the supermarkets to invest in, it is a sector that is saturated with low margins and little opportunity for growth.

To be honest there are millions of buyers and sellers all with different views and objectives so I don't pay much attention to daily movements. I am invested in NEX due to strong positive momentum over the last few months, it's not a guaranteed strategy but works for me 60% of the time.

Yep, I had a choice today, beer garden and book online or go to the supermarket, guess which won ?

The Motley Fool runs articles that either hype up or crap on various stocks to manipulate market sentiment and ultimately manipulate stock prices. They were fined by the SEC in 2017 for this practice but they continue to this day.

So why do you bother with OCDO but you don't bother with the other 2,000 companies on the LSE.

I used to work for MRW and they should have a competitive edge compared to other supermarkets due to producing a lot of their own product.
I'm not sure whether they can grow with the competition from the discounters and online.
They could perhaps increase profitability by producing more in house but there is a limit to this.

You don't speak for the people, I have no thoughts one way or the other.
