Looks like POG is indeed a potential sooner (10 days or so) rather than later. I've always tended to treat RSI as 'god' but will admit to finding it unstable at present on a day to day basis. Missed an entry point for BA. yesterday but think the current twitch is unsustainable. It's the next one of interest. Know what you mean about flu. <grin> I'd all the symptoms of swine flu through Sun and Mon, felt much better yesterday later on, and took the dogs for a walk this morning. It appears the media blurb about it being less painful than 'real flu' is quite correct.

Nice one. Been pretending to have flu for the last couple of days, so only getting back into things again. I'm a bit uncertain about jumping into anything given the daily UKX posit as a retrace down to 4350 still looks necessary before things can move faster. Looking at UKX on daily with RSI 14 screams retrace and interestingly the daily CCiMA is crossing downwards.

(even abandoned watching F1 at lap 18 and slept for 3 hours!) trawled the financial news and there seems to be concensus that THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN insofar as we're seeing extraordinary market conditions in a period where traditionally is should be merde. As I've said, I'd sorta given up as my daily trends failed then my weekly trends failed. My fall back position is to listen to what I'd say if I were advising a friend. "Buy whatever you want out of the FTSE 250 and don't look at it for a year as we're in extraordinary conditions which no-one is charting reliably" I produced a range of picks from the allshare and SVT look of interest.within the next week or so for around a 15+% return in a 20 day period. PVCS look to be trending toward a day in the sun (which is funny if you know what they do) but can't see more than 17p gain from current, again within 20 days. The FTSE crack is short term - around 3 days from tomorrow, then a horrid climb to 47xx before pausing for breath in September.

Finally, you can relax. Decided to run a core charting study on this and decision day looks like being August 11th as long as close mid price exceeds 6.16. Traditional rules imply if the foregoing is not met, bail or start a ramping club which I shall join! <grin> Big Brother on TV (coupled with wife and daughter being addicted to it) has caused me to spend rather more time than I prefer on the PC checking historical trends and strengths. FTSE still looks like dropping though!

Having a problem with RSI 5 theory on blue chips. If you look at it in conjection with RSI 15 in Daily view, it starts to explain rather explicitly why I keep missing exit points. On AV. for instance, it screams that I was an idiot whereas on XTA the suggestion is it's going down from now for the next few days. Additionally, in bull conditions, we are looking at entry around 50/60 on RSI 5 with exit at 70 on RSI 15 which should be close to 95 on RSI 5. I've 17 decent volume shares for which I shall post the epics (finished trawling the AllShare) once I spend tomorrow writing up my own opinions and further doing some whittling

Haven't heard from admin so I'm going to start posting some speculative stuff on IHGP Premium.

Do you mind if we use this area for some general Premium Chat regarding varied shares rather than poluting various boards with cross contamination? Suspect the main culprits will be RIddler, KiS, Moosh and myself initially. Cheers

Looks about ready to retrace to a viable entry point BUT I'm finding it impossible to get a handle on things. I like the mothly, weekly, and daily MacD's. On Monday, I was confident with all my chart positions, today I feel utterly clueless. Having successfully pulled five figures out of play and watched the market continue to climb has been rather frustrating. I even suggested to my sister she would be wise bailing RBS and LGEN, meaning she made 460 profit rather than todays potential 990. However, as it was her first time playing, she's happy to have made 8% profit in a week.

Actually went through the FTSE All Share (yes, all of them above 1m shares traded) tonight to chose viables. I'm going to ask Admin if we can chat on IHGP where it'll appear as general chat - In House Chat. Painfully aware (or hope) a few other folks are subscribing to premium and doubtless want to watch for any info on their own shares and think it best we create something akin to an experts exchanges (aka chancers best guess...) As for the FTSE, don't entirely agree as the RSI's scare the hell out of me. It has gone into extreme oversold such as seen always prior to a big (short term) down blip. BUT, can't track a gain period such as we've experienced though there was a bit in 2005 which came close which may indicate we've two strong years ahead. I've a list of 20 or so epics but think it best admin agrees we opt for a general discussion forum designed for folk who are willing to pay for what they are talking about <big grin>.

HDY look valid but I'm nervous of the MacD posit. EMED are also looking cute. Will post fuller info this evening. EME defeats me - I'm kinda dispirited as I dumped XTA earlier this week. The retrace started perfectly this morning. Which is why it finished 7.4% up. Dodging profit was really clever there. Don't even mention AV. or BARC!

Sounds like we're singing from the same songbook. That's why I'm so fussy about the FTSE positions. AU. are worth a look but a wee bit expensive. I shall keep in touch with any I notice as I'm now checking FTSE 350 as RSI 5 theory remains fairly valid. Just need to get exit points sorted though on volatile ups such as ACTA, RSI 26 gave some meaningful pictures... After the event!

It is well worth applying Moosh's RSI 5 setting to the FTSE chart on daily view. Any of you in blue chips will see what is about to happen by scrolling back to previous times when RSI with a period of 5 is used. The other indicators don't suggest a serious drop in blue chips but it's maybe worth holding back a few quid for miners and banks as the volatiles will doubtless be... volatile.

Foreigners don't appreciate the quality of The Sunday Post. I'll admit I've not read it for years but as Private Eye have revamped The Broons to match the current political leadership, may accept there's someone in Dundee knows a thing or two. <grin>
