Paris - great video link BTW. Some helpful nuggets of info in there!

Positive news emerging between manufacturers and telcos. More weight behind the drive.
"The semiconductor giant has partnered with fifteen global telecoms across Asia, Europe, and North America. Qualcomm says the following service providers will be commercializing some form of ‘XR viewer’ within the next year: China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Deutsche Telekom, EE, KDDI, KT, LG Uplus, NTT DOCOMO, Orange, SK Telecom, SoftBank, Telefonica, Verizon, and Vodafone."

The drive on social media has generally slowed in the last 7 days as people have noted. Facebook in particular has come down from a previous average 3.9% daily growth rate to 1.9% last week. New projection for 75k followers is 8th June. Let's hope Wafia can get the PTAT and app rankings moving in the right direction again after tonight's performance.
Might see a new RNS tomorrow too announcing the next batch of artists. Guessing MGK will be up soon.
It's been there a while.
Interesting Ferrisc. Such an income divide could also be helpful for cross-selling and repeat purchases. I also feel theatre customers may not demand as many live shows in the same way they would for an artist doing a gig. Pre-recorded theatre productions should theoretically have more resale longevity and a lower cost to serve if content can be recycled. The value of a pre-recorded music concert will diminish at a faster rate as content needs to be kept up to date to keep the artists relevant.
The s/p will boom whenever Gore gives the greenlight to flip the switch IMO.
@lordfont - details for in house attendances below. Melody are in a perfect position to deliver to the masses outside of the major cities with the right price points in place. Geographic location, capacity constraints, mobility and disposable income differences are possible barriers for many enthusiasts right now. I suspect appetite for an alternative immersive experience is going to be huge and theatre will probably be the money maker whenever it comes to fruition.

Even if ticket prices are cut and one assumes conservative incremental demand, MVR are into a winner.
Some nice posts there StuOfTheToon! Refreshing to see some maturity and balance in a conversation. I dipped my toe in the water with TRX for the first time yesterday. Feels like a good price to buy in at as a newbie to this stock. Excited to see what materialises in the years ahead. GLA
Next year appears to be the year where innovation will step up in the glasses space. Expecting to see more challengers emerge to combat the motion sickness issues that some people get with head mounted displays. Good times ahead for the industry in general! I agree Mel. What I expect to see is a significant increase in OPEX and CAPEX as the result of the second successive year of strategic investment into people, property and technology. IMO this is a necessary growth driver and for me, shouldn't cause too much alarm if things appear worse on face value when the results are released. The interesting things will be to see a) by what magnitude they have managed to grow app revenue and b) what other revenue opportunities they have managed to explore given the heavy dependency on the Facebook payload in the last results.
Clearly, brand awareness and user adoption is key right now but I'm curious, what would you/everyone else consider to be a successful YoY revenue target in advance of the results being released?
Pretty sure the majority of the loss in the last report related to investment in people and digital infrastructure. Didn't they grow the team to about 40 people last year? Expenditure relating to content production and royalties was around £1.4m as it wiped out the £1.2m revenues.
The team on LinkedIn now stands at 86 people. I would therefore expect reported losses in the forthcoming report to be significantly higher if they've added 40+ people YoY and haven't seen material changes in revenue from app sales in the period until end Dec 2019
Italian - old content!
Chipman,
"who is Action Man and Embers? Trying to catch up"
Action Man = The greatest hero of them all
Embers = The real Optimist
Optimist = Don't ask!
Hope that clarifies!
Modeller,
Your intentions are pretty clear. Don't be a rat either by running off to other platforms citing my observations. I am waiting to hear back on what happened with the glitch. I will also be able to tell if the MGK show is live or not from what I saw in the footage.
Whilst I obviously had justified concerns on the night, I need more info that will take more time, so I suggest you leave it be.
Agree! Spot on tonight, no issues on Oculus and best of the bunch IMO. Best all round mix of stability, branding, production and audio. The audio was actually incredible. Felt like they did something different to improve clarity. Her songs and voice were great too.

- 3 extra charts for FB PTAT, Instagram and LinkedIn
- all info from public domain
Callouts (these views are my own)
1) Dip in UK Google Play Free & Grossing rankings over last few days with spiky but expected increases in US iOS rank. Good recovery though following on from the John Legend gig
2) Hit the 50k+ FB followers as previously estimated on Monday. More than trebled the FB following in 4 weeks. On target to quadruple by the weekend
3) Big step up in Facebook PTAT (People Talking About This) at 31k - 3x what it was before the last RNS and 2x what is was around the time of the first set of free pre-recorded gigs. Arguably the most exciting recent metric in the deck right now, growing from 7% of followers on 19th April to 60% of followers yesterday!
4) Twitter - approx 50% increase in followers over the last 3 weeks
5) Insta and LinkedIn followers are dripping through in smaller batches. Nothing to write home about right now
Hey Mel - yeah it's cool. I didn't think otherwise. Was just replying to the comment. Bloody infuriating with so many vultures trying to discredit a genuine tech issue and a valid concern. Most of them can't even be bothered to use the technology to give the company feedback.
Go spread your poison elsewhere Nb140. You are clueless.
US Telco announcement would be mega I agree. Probably between Verizon and AT&T given the greater network coverage of both providers. Verizon have the upper hand with 5G though.
Thanks for the heads up Albert! Let's just close the thread until I get some answers to my email (assuming they respond of course). In the meantime, it should be a good week ahead with new gigs and fresh artists being announced on Wed! The very best to all.
Duly noted Rumfuddle! Will hopefully get some better processes in place after this to avoid a repeat occurrence.
