Shouldn't rule out share buyback as a reason to update the future compensation structure with employees and executives. It's a non-cash expense that could work out favourably as a retention and incentive mechanism to encourage growth.
Awesome to hear the album again with a fresh twist. Still sounds like it could blow the charts 20 years on. One of those times where I just feel grateful to MelodyVR for allowing me to experience a quality gig that I never thought I would get to see from one of my favourite artists as a kid. Cracking performance!
Top act for the gen Y audience. Decent album too.

Not too shabby at all.
Nothing to correct. Inactive users can always come back to make a future purchase if they see something they like.
That's an opinion which may or may not be true. It's also an opinion I am not influenced by as I don't rely on analyst sentiment to guide me. I'm sure there are plenty of other variables determining the analyst recommendations beyond download figures. Let's not lose sight of that.
Modeller,
If you go back to one of my relatively recent posts, you will see some explanation why I don't trust app store download metrics based on professional experience. The latest annual report RNS stated MVR acquired 150k+ new users last year, which exceeds the combined Play and iOS store totals alone. That also doesn't even consider old downloads before 2019 and new downloads from recent high profile events like John Legend, JoJo etc and the new downloads related to Wireless 2020 which we believe are in the 6 figure territory. Look at JoJo's YouTube metrics after announcing the MVR gig....up 3 fold, acquiring 1million views in the 4 days running up to the live show. I personally believe that will have driven somewhere between 3% and 8% of traffic into incremental app installs to watch her show on the Saturday (30-80k), as a conservative estimate. Of course, this is my opinion only, but I believe MVR will have download numbers of at least 500k over the lifecycle of the product and this will continue to grow with increased exposure.
Each to their own though. I use my own data with calculated assumptions to drive decisions. If you feel differently, great, but when you post, let's get some substance behind your negative sentiment. You do typically tend to have some dubious patterns of board engagement though when good news kicks in.
Welcome to the madness Willios! Strap yourself in, it's a rollercoaster ride!
It's not hugely concerning at all Modeller! App rank spikes on news of a decent event just as quickly as it falls on no news. You'll have to work harder than that. By the way, residual interest will be a reflection of active users and app uninstall metrics, not declining app store rank. The moment we have exposure to these metrics, I may listen to your point.
Modeller only turns up to bash when there is positive news. Never hear from him/her in between when there is a more stable trading range. Good news messes up their strategy.
Need to minimise distractions and conquer the main western markets as priority. Pareto principle.
Lordfont - before you get your hopes up on the Indian consumer market, there are some challenges. Overseas businesses trying to enter this market often need to do so as a joint venture with an existing Indian entity who maintain a majority stake. Can't see this going down too well on what is already a complex rev share model between artists, venues, managers, labels, promoters etc. Additionally, Facebook have signed content licensing agreements with Saregama this year who are one of India's biggest and oldest music labels.
Not saying it would be impossible, but probably more unattractive due to commercial complexity.
A pleasant opener to the morning! 1,000,000 + interactions aside for the moment, the big news is most definitely around the partnership with LN. Massive confidence boost that they believe in the direction of travel and are choosing to view the company as a credible partner to expand global reach rather than a competitor.
When immersed into tonight's Wireless via Oculus, the more you can appreciate how amazing a live theatre production is going to be when Gore gives the greenlight. Stalls, Circle, Stage, Box, Orchestral Pit views, you name it. Alexandra Palace really helps paint the picture of potential when viewing through a head mounted device.
MVR have been on point with social media today and good to see the Wireless team engaging in fan chat. Nice to see marketing being pushed more aggressively. Acts have been awesome and the tunes are bangers. Grateful to see some new artists this evening too. Strong opening day in my opinion, demonstrating capability across multiple platforms.
Here's to an even more positive Saturday and Sunday. Far better than those old Glasto repeats on mainstream last week.
Great clip of Buddy posted on the MVR Facebook page 5 mins ago. Really looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks Italian. Will catch up on events of the day shortly.
Anyone in a position to fill me in on these deleted posts? Missed the boat today. Had to see a man about a dog 'n all that.
That's not what is being said though IPman. He/she is just expressing concern over the risk from a loss of communication and momentum post Wireless. It's a fair comment. Hopefully MVR will have a robust schedule of events lined up over the next few months to help reduce some of the s/p volatility. We all know from experience this plummets quickly and then takes longer to recover.
Rumfuddle - refreshing to keep the posts real. Always helpful to read sensible comments like yours.
Lofas - do you realise the Melody/O2 partnership was announced on 17th October 2019? Financial results reflect a period ending 31/12/2019?
There will be no miracles to report in 10 weeks.
