Max, permit late teens at a guess, all news on all fronts could go anywhere, important to remember this hit 30p which was purely Dempsey driven. we will get the quarterlies from SGC before 31/01 so next update not too far away.
interim's also stated 'We have seen Company and shareholder value grow in recent months on encouraging results from drilling in Indonesia and the United States and the positive internal analysis of the seismic data in China, and we expect to see further value accretive milestones reached in the near future. Overall, with three promising high impact exploration projects being progressed and a consistent stream of news flow expected moving forward, we anticipate that it will be an exciting period ahead for Empyrean and its shareholders.'
Gazza, I expect news on all three assets in Q1. Dempsey - Frack permit any day - Stimulation operations in Q1 Indonesia - Interim's stated 'On the back of results from the Mako South-1 well it is expected that the operator will commission an updated independent resource assessment in due course as further data is analysed and comes to hand. In addition, numerous prospects and leads have been identified in the permit using 3D seismic data.' update overdue. China Block 29/11 - interim's stated 'These estimates are expected to be revised towards the end of Q1 2018 when the comprehensive interpretation of the fully processed 3D seismic data is expected to be completed.' Q1 2018 looking pretty good imo, O&G in general looking great. Brent over $70 (oil was $45 when we took on the china permit), Gas at $3.5. only downside i see is EME will need to raise some money at some point, i think tom will load up some good news first and raise in the 20's. just my opinion. imagine news flow of Dempsey permit, followed by resource upgrade at Mako, then resource upgrade at China with full results.
both having a good moment and prices reacting well. oil up bodes well for farm out. Gas up bodes well if we can get some decent production from Dempsey and increases the value of Indonesia, China helping gas prices along with US weather, https://www.wsj.com/articles/china-sucks-gas-out-of-global-market-amid-shift-from-coal-1516703401
why sell indonesia ? from Zengas post last year. Mako has tested successfully. A **previous development scenario** was for 3 horizontal producers. Given that the test equipment constrained the 10.9 mmcf/day stabilised flow rate, the potential is for greater. The field is 340 km2 and the company has said results are better than the original prognosis. I had reckoned that 3 H/wells should pump out a combined 50 mmcf/day (an average of 16.8 mmcfd/well) and at up to $7.50/mcf Indonesia and $16/mcf Singapore using an average $10/mcf this would generate major revenues. The field already is close to existing infrastructure. Pre development for this, I have 70m target for EME or circa 17.5p.
mike, dont you need to take into account current liabilities, net position of about $975,000 the will be a further placing but i don't see TK doing it at this level, he has been sensible to date, even if he does will be a modest amount as capital outlay going forward is not too drastic. i suspect a raise on the back of further china / indonesia news personally.
http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/190154/empyrean-energy-gas-production-starts-at-dempsey-well-190154.html An application process is underway for the permitting of the enhanced reservoir stimulation of the well is proceeding as planned, and it expects stimulation operations expected in the first quarter of 2018.
all, everything within the update was known, the only new part was surrounding the permit application running smoothly. perhaps everyone was expecting the permit? either way as long as there are no issues with the permit application then it doesn't matter too much as we need the production data first anyway... plenty to build towards here.
production is immaterial but the data is fundamental to design and tailor the stimulation. Phase one started, production data. Phase two, the permit looks to be on its way with no problems. looking good, field operations still on track for Q1, lets see how SGC reacts tonight, hoping this can pop through 14p tomorrow.
Is Dempsey currently flowing? In the Q&A last month Sacgasco said 'we are actively working to have Dempsey 1‐15 well in production selling natural gas in the next couple of weeks adding to our existing revenue base.' but nothing has been confirmed, i know the sales are immaterial but the production data is essential to design the well stimulation and next phase of testing. thoughts?
