Nice work on the DAX particularly through the Fomc and yes agree with your brown trouser sentiment. We are all still watching ITV for it (hopefully) break............ Hi Gs i am back from pub........... Task FOMC were good to me turned a loss into a small profit. I was happy as i had two positions running on the UJ ............ Now i will let the market settle for a while before i re -enter anything. GS talk talk being shorted by Marshal Wallace they were the ones that finished off Carrilon and they have a massive short on IQE......... Plus the market dont like talk talk right now

Hi GS i thought you liked Lloyds but guess you came out at 70 p in a decent profit...... I am still holding as part of my income portfolio.......... Legal and General are good i have a wad of them for income also. Task well done on your Dax trades yesterday. I have never traded a 2 min chart will take a look at that. Ive had a scalp out of USDCHF short earlier but now i am stuck in USDJPY short.... I really thought it was on the turn after the Doji on the 4 hour and then followed by big red 4 hour candle......... Now i am going to have to live through the FOMC at 7 oclock ( which i hate) ill take my stop off for that.......... but now going to pub for a break! Haven't heard from Hot for a short while... Ill drop him a line

Task first day back for the US and they are jittery. Been in and out of everything today US Crude USD/JPY USD/CHF FTSE the DOW i cant find any long term trades yet .. A day of scalping ended up with about 14 points for all my efforts.... still waiting for that sell signal on USD JPY and no sign of it yet. Hope you faired better today

Task............. VPN yes could be latency issues . I know VPN.s ping and sometimes the packets get dropped or lost ive tried changing my protocols from UDP to TCP Ill see if it makes any difference. USD/JPY weekly chart difficult to tell right now as US and Canada have been closed today... Need to see some direction tomorrow . However there is certainly a big wide open space with very little resistance if it does go first drop to 10470 second all the way to 10000.......... However it posted a bullish hammer on Friday and has ramped up today so........ short not yet! . well done on Dax

I will take a deeper look at IC markets and probably open a demo.. I am also currently with CMC and Finspreds but have never encountered True ECN . Also you are right I have never used mt5 and mt4 as IG dohave it but from memory you have to deposit large amounts and trade big amounts on it. Well done on your USDJPY excellent!!............ ive been trading the Ftse and the Dow this afternoon. I was happily up on a short on the dow and closed out and walked away. for a cup of tea......... Came back and to my horror my position hadn't closed at all. It looked like my VPN had dropped the connection in the middle of the close now i am approx 65 points wrong footed!!!.......... I use Nord VPN any body with suggestions for a better VPN Nord is always dropping the connection !!

Bwm thanks for your response and now ive taken a look at Ascent resources and not really doing a lot a technically in a down trend but i know with these sort of shares you can make really good money on quantity on tiny moves so good luck with it. IC markets TRUE ECN .......... I have taken a look and it looks tempting. Have you traded on the True ecn platform. I noticed zero spreads on some F/X pairs but a commission of $3.50 per lot.on true ecn It seems to based in US terminology EG: micro lots, minis, standards etc 10 cents 1 dollar 10 dollars, cant quite figure out the $ 3.50 commission per lot . I guess it swings and roundabouts you would have to be trading minis at least to get back your commission

AST are you talking about Astrazeneca nothing-on the charts to show any uptrend yet more dowards if anything?.......... BLU are you talking about blue star capital, if so still firmly in a downtrend nothing to support buying at all? ....... SWl not really going any where except down, no buy signal whatsoever........... LGT Light house is looking more promising, long term but short term could drop back to 21 p ish.for a good entry point Above all based on Technical s only. GL all

Yes Bitcoin spreads are stupid and so is the margin......... Plus they ramp up a lot in the evening. Charts are good though . I use their charts to trade on their platform and others You are on MT5 but through which platform Task. Agree too much sitting down thats why i tend to stick to three days a week if i can

IG chart ......... yes it wasn't a gap but a dodgy chart ? really confusing though! .. The indices whipsawed more than once today they were going crazy. mainly due to fundamental announcements. Good idea to take a break Task...... if i get a string of losses i leave the market and come back another time with fresh eyes. Also money management.. Should be easy but it isn't EG: Dont move your stops... Dont take stupid trades...Dont get over exposed etc The stress of watching your trades move at micro second speed does have a tendency to mess with ones mind.. Never give up! GL all

Hi Task ill get back to you on that Ive got to get out ... .......... But have you just seen the FTSE!!! Ive been trading indices ftse dow and dax and US tech the rest of the day ........... But just look at the Ftse on the ten min chart bang after close at 4.30 it gaped down....... Ive never ever seen a gap in the middle of the day its most unusual if not totally rare.I was short on it and closed at 4 28 pm (Ftse goes crazy after close ) but if i had held on i would have picked up another few hundred pound But happy to be finished for the day. will be back later GL

Bitcoin....... Thought the abreviation looked familiar. What platform Task? I know at one point IG wouldnt take shorts only longs? Was out drinking coffee and eating cake most of yesterday but picked up some points on gold early evening.... Good luck all

I cant remember what BTC trades are? ditto though with ups and downs. I was doing not to bad on the FTSE had a short on it had been trading it both ways on a ten min chart all was well at 4.30.. Though ti was safe to let it range I was just on Break even,then popped to shop for some milk and it shot up.!! After closing it shot up 40 plus points stopping me out and losing 41 points......... It had been ranging all day back and forth as soon as the FTSE closed it went balistic....... Probably the Dow dragged it up........... Plus i should have spotted the potential bear flag..... As you say keep trying never give up.. Purple Bricks I cant quite see PURP dropping to such a degree, its rallied a bit today. Its actually quite a difficult share to trade its always somewhat choppy in my view

Hi all............ BWM its Gs who has dipped his toe into a crypto currenciy He has a a EFT in Etherium on Hargreaves. Platform. I tend to avoid them lots of other stuff out there to trade.... FLX looks like it did break out quite nicely and anybody who bought a wad in the 3 pence bracket must be celebrating but time will tell ...... Good luck with them
