I also managed to subscribe for an IPO just 20 mins before cut off time .It's a Fintech investment trust .....IPO.'s... so no fees and no purchase tax to pay.. Nice work on your days trades Task. Looks like your 12100 has broke..... The "management" not very good (had to shift some funds) and berating myself and i should really know better.. I really didn't want to get stuck in something so fast moving as the Dow but now i am . If it pays off its a nice holiday abroad .. If it doesn't its misery

Task it looks like indices are recovering the bulls are giving it a go.... are you long or short on the Dax? I am into 4 figures on the Dow and hoping it will recover .....

HI Task no relief for me i was long on the Dow last nigh when massive drop came on Gary Cohn resignation hit the news. I had to to up the margin account to stay in over night and still in. awaiting bounce..........Its getting me down a bit all these massive swings across all the markets mainly over nothing

A miserable day and night on the DAX got stopped out for �183 first thing this morning... Its got a mind of its own this indice. It was steady overnight in the Asian session and shot up at an unprecedented rate on the early futures and opening bell... Managed to grab �50 back on the eventual shooting star by a small trade by increasing � per point size. I have visitor this morning so no trading for me ........... I did open up a long on HSBA this morning at �1 a point with a very tight stop.. Gl all

Yes Dax caught me out too ........that mistake i was talking about.. I put a short on the dax at 12076 on the first 10 min red close candle.......... What did it do, yes shot up like a bullet.... I was surprised it went that far that fast .. Ill hold on to the short for a while . Usually when you get rocket moves they retrace. The worry is it might push up to the 12190 before it pulls back. I am hoping not though as i hope it will pull back to 12700 ish before the next push up

Also i thought you had sold your Legal and General and put it into Cineworld ? Task mistakes, yes i understand..... I might have made one my self and now looking at red candles........ Hi Task, you will struggle to find any set ups first thing on a Mondays . . Monday mornings are just for looking in my view ... Nobody really knows where they are going... Normally on a Monday AM i dont trade I just watch.... Plus the US come on at 2.30 they throw it all back into confusion ... Its a watching day for safety....... Saying that ive been watching the Dax and took a trade just after US open and banked 22 points in total... I am off for a walk now and let the US settle down for a bit .. Task well done on your Dax and DJ trades of the day.. and yes losses effect the mind much more than wins be we do get use to them... Money management is the key but sticking to the 2% rule is difficult. As I said earlier ive not been on today but i noticed my USD JPY was bang on prediction.. It hit the target exactly on the expiry time for the option then went south big time. I must start trusting my self more instead of clicking out for a few points.. Ill be back trading on Monday but i am having a serious look at HSBC we are on a triple bottom will it bounce or gap further drown ? What your thoughts

Your cineworld was just part of the huge Ftse sell off yesterday.... The ftse hasn't got off to a good start today either In fact all the indices were down and continue south today . We can certainly blame the Fed.. Jerome Powell speches this week haven't done any of us favours. Good luck all

Morning all ........Task ....really hard luck on your dax trade yesterday. You were right about it going lower. It's dropped like a stone this morning... You did well to get out when you did.... Yes I understood about being margined out... . Its happened to me in the past.. Yesterday was a wierd day and today could be the same. I am not trading today ....Fridays can be very unpredictable at the best of times.
