Hi Task if i can buy back at 2.75 i will be happy even inc purchase tax and trading costs . that will give me a decent quantity of free shares. ( anything lower even better) Cracking divi on LGEN so thats what i am after.. election jitters, should drag a few things down this month prior 12th Dec...

Dax yes currently bullish but hopefully you will get drop back down. Do keep an eye out for the 2 pm announcement from the ECB President Christine Lagarde . That may possibly shift it one way or another at that time.

I see spot gold is down trying to hit that double bottom but difficult to trade as related to Trump /China chatter . I am hoping for a further dip on gold as i am running some shorts on gold shares... Gl Task

Hi Task that Oanda demo has cfd and spreads but i just traded F/X on spreads but they do have all the comods and indices metals on CFD's .
I am going to start running both on the two different timframes ... I have traded CFDs on the real accounts and some metals on ECN F/X open demo . What side are you on dax long or short ? good luck with it any........... Ps volatility is extremely low on f/X at the moment, the lowest all year with virtually no range at all . the eur vix is right down its getting very difficult to catch a break as the ticks just are not there.. catch you tomorrow

Hello Task yes that exactly was i was talking about.. If all the trades are going through the same international bank which is i believe is the case, then its just adds to the confusion of trying to get it right.

Ive noticed that the prices are the same but often the candles or MA etc are different. As we work from T/A like all other traders, then we are all at a disadvantage as we are both playing from a different pack of cards..

Its a huge advantage to the brokers as it like playing roulette on a fixed table. If we knew what the percentage of US time frame traders were and the percentage of London time traders, we could then follow the one with the biggest majority..

The reason i m now looking at this again is because UK City index are changing their end of day candle to conform with New York Time When i started my Oanda $100000 demo account i turned it into $103400 reasonably quickly. I know trading demos are different to the real thing but i was getting good result from the USA time frame..... I have sometimes used the US demo patterns ect to trade my real accounts but haven't got enough data to see if its better or not but it certainly is no worse .

I know its complex as there are many different times around the world but getting back to that Eur Jpy........ on. IG as you say the 200 DMA is kissing the base but to get the same result on Oanda you need to put on 170 day MA...

Its ridiculous .. which is right or are neither, or is there something i dont know that would answer this question...

Task i have a dilemma to discuss with you, which i have never really got to the bottom of .. Its about DMA and EMA etc using US Time frames and UK Time frames!
On my Oanda demo account which is in usd dollars their dma's etc are in a totally different places to the ones on our UK accounts. this is due to US using 5 daily candles and UK using 6 daily candles.. So which one should we trade by which one is accurate US or UK.... Now look at the EUR JPY on IG the 200 MA has been touched already a few times in the last few weeks but on the US accounts it didn't get any where near and still isnt any where near it but on Uk accounts its much closer.
In other words, i am looking at what is supposed to be the same on both accounts but isn't. which one is true and which one should one trade by? ... I never had a satisfactory answer to this, just been fudged . Task, when you get time have a ponder on this and let me know your thoughts ?

Ah good you should have had that rejection off the 120.600 but i think it will try to push on to the 200 DMA before long then reject again, thats when ill go for my short my short in on it.......... Gl

Task ive looked a at your EJ short all the signs are its going up to 120.847 at the 200 Dma ......but as you are a scalper and knowing you you will find a dip in it but currently long-term its definitely still in a uptrend

HI Task yes thats a weird end of day candle ...yep it should have taken your limit but their excuse will be that they couldn't get it filled.. ( had many phone calls with brokers my self on this issue)

Gold is difficult to call right now but my daily analysis is saying its going down 1450 downwards .... of course not in a straight line, will bounce around a bit.... Look at he daily, a potential perfect head and shoulders down to a double bottom.....
Saying that Trump China news can really unsettle it plus over the last week or two there has been very little volume in gold trading look at the daily candles . I think the big traders are steering clear of it waiting for news .

Hi Task that looking very healthy for you and well done done on such a low volume day . I decided to have a go after lunch and picked up 10 pips on eur usd short but now i am stuck in Aud Cad short that was going well until the US crude oil inventories came out and now imm back under water again .. I could do with a get out of jail card and pass go right now

Task grrr ...gave up on my trades in the early hours in a loss which I now regret as they have all gone the right way!! "humbug"
