Yes NAV will rise with more buy backs that's for sure. I wonder when the next one will be and whats the criteria for spending the cash to take the shares out of the market. I am wondering if any of this cash return will find its way into buying back shares, its possible.

Glad you got your buy in today. I bought in just before Christmas at £1.44 and expect to at least double up. Plus if the 5% dividend is announced that will be a real bonus and make this share a long term hold. The thing with sfe is its one of a kind on the market, it has no competition. Also they are pushing into the London and south east areas which is a very lucrative market . The other interesting thing about sfe is most of the shares were sold to major holders on the float. There aren't that many free floating shares about, which makes it worth holding onto. If the divi is announced every body will want to jump in and with fewer shares the sp could rocket. Lets see what happens Monday

Yes it is complicated we both get the same amount back 21p per share, My B shares get cancelled and redeemed as cash (21 p) Your B shares called B dividend shares also pay out the 21p , then get to be called deferred shares which will have nominal value 0.01p but they will probably be cancelled by the end of the day so they dont have any real value. From what I can gather it’s all to do with income tax and US holders only are allowed B share dividend option.. All of this is assuming the vote is passed on the 7th April which it should be I guess. If property values continue to go up in Macau and the BOD continue buy back shares and return cash to share holders. Plus in the future to pay out 50% of the profits to share holders this will be a brilliant share to hold and to add to on dips

Ill say, good news indeed, bought in here at 374 on Scot ind yes / no vote/ possible move day news. Want this for long term income share, but always nice to see them blue in the P/F

Excellent increase here today but why, results are not out until 31st of March? I can only assume they are going to be good, others must think that. Hope you got your buy Libero, it’s very frustrating when that happens

Yes agreed with the continued buy back it should keep the NAV high and the SP high plus special dividend returns make it an all round good share to hold. After reading through the paperwork it does appear that the best option is to receive the proceeds of the property sale as B share redemption by default, which means taking no action, rather than the B share dividend (which is somewhat more complicated) It appears the funds will be accredited to our accounts on or around the 29th April. As other have said on here it should be 21p per share Re EGM. I am awaiting my proxy form to vote. The board recommends to vote in favour of resolution 1, 3 and 4 and against resolution 2 Good luck all

Anybody else received, via their broker the 23 page letter from the chairman Re B shares / dividend. I am about to plough through it but it looks like a lot of paper for what will be the probable outcome of to just sit tight. Will be back after reading it, other comments welcome

JDF7 you made 100% profit on AV that’s one hell of an achievement on this share, as its driven most of us to distraction. SL quite happy so far bought.in at 373 and close was 381, Yes i hope it keeps going but tomorow could see some profit taking. AV recovered well today also. . Scots Yes/ No union debate kicikng off big time now.. I have a load of North sea oil shares I wonder if the tax implications will change

Floods and AV I wouldn’t worry Aviva has very little weather exposures as its core business is life and savings.

Tate and lyle could be ok as Chinese are on the prowl looking for acquisitions but too sickly for me. Lloyds yes has long term potential re retail ipo and eventual dividends ( divi was promised for first half, now not till second half of year) also reeling from £9.8 bill of ppi claims and int rate scandals etc. Just currently a hold rather than a buy as most of price factored in on sentiment HSBC a better buy with chunky dividend. All in my opinion

Lloyds currently over priced in my view. Tate and lyle profit warning caution required. Rolls Royce usually bounces back.

Phoenix yes good income player. Prudential good for capital growth. Aviva still inexpensive in my view.
