Thanks Golden S for response and useful article liberalman. I think it’s a bit of a gamble (but what isn’t in share dealing). You may or may not get your full allocation of shares so it could be reminiscent of Royal Mail .. I can’t see the offer price being too excessive as 700 000 customers have shown interest in buying shares in the IPO, if the price was to drop on the day it would be a total disaster for saga. I therefore hope that there will be at least a small premium to be made. There are lots of unknowns, we don’t know what fund managers may be buying. We do know though that the IPO will be underpinned by its customers and probably some employees, who if they hold their shares for 12 months they get one free share for every 20 they hold. This should deter them from selling and lock in a number of investors ( customers) Little else is known at this stage, appart form promise of dividend which is a positive but its the customer underpinning which is swaying me. Hi GS, Saga IPOs looks a goer, Positives Immediate dividend policy of 40 to 50 % of the group’s net income. Customer and employee loyalty scheme, if they hold shares for one year they get one free share for every twenty they hold. Negatives. Gamble territory, unknown outcome, IPO might flop then could get stuck with them.
