Gs that pic of me having a pint was taken in Ashbourne Derbyshire a week before I went to London.......... . However I did have a couple of drinks in the posher part of Wimbledon and a meal and it was astonishingly reasonable and very nice as well.......... It's one of investor chronicles top 100 funds .......Pays quarterly and very diverse from what us pi.s can do..... also should ramp up when interest rates move north, which has to happen some time. ....... No apologies necessary I am the worse responder of all. Yes, you said City of London Group. ( CLIG) I bought into City of London Investment Trust (CTY) It a lower yield than Clig but more sustainable. Yes funds i am just trying to re- balance my P/F for longer term income To a degree now, i don't mind too much if my income shares go up or down, as long as they keep paying the dividends. Marlborough multi cap looks a good fund goes ex divi on 20 Sept as well. I haven't forgotten the London pics, just still really busy and was away last week in Slovakia for a mini break and a check up. Will email pics on with in the next few days. Good luck Gs

Hi Gs I am back in Boohoo on a December contract spread. Below some musing from motley fool Of course, other UK-focused consumer stocks also have considerable appeal. Online fashion retailer Boohoo.Com (LSE: BOO) has also faced a testing recent period, with its share price having declined by 15% since the turn of the year. However, just as with Goals, it has the scope to turn recent disappointing performance around, with Boohoo.Com’s earnings set to rise by 42% in the current year, and by a further 25% next year. This means that its earnings could be as much as 78% higher next year than they were last year, which is likely to have a positive impact on investor sentiment.

Hi Gs yes i have now changed my opinion on Boohoo I do believe they will eventually make the grade. . They seem to be getting stronger, worth hanging onto for now. Yes funds, I never been a big believer in them in the past. I do hold a couple Woodford and Artemis but i think there is a place for them in a well diversified portfolio. Its just another way to hedge your bets and access foreign markets. Nice you are in profit overall. That's an interesting thought of just holding shares from November to March but blue chip dividend shares you could probably hold for long term if the dividends keep coming. In the next few years i will be drawing and spending my dividends as income. ill be glad iv held them then ( hopefully ) GL all

Howdy all back from the smoke had a great time and did loads. The financial sector was most amusing and somewhat spectacular when you get up close. I went down Diagonal alley and yes there are still plenty of fat bankers, talk about "Old London" some of the bankers were having their shoes shined at £5 a pair ( I didn’t think that happened any more but it does) Diagonal ally is also where some of the “Harry Potter” filming was done. There was a bar called brokers s bar Not far away was a pub called the Banker and Barrow boy Moved on to Canary Wharf saw the 4 standing clocks and the massive moving stocks and news ticker. It was Friday after close and a great atmosphere, copious amounts of drink being consumed and real happy buzz. It seems that plenty of people are making money but not us at the moment!! GS I will post up some pictures to you….. Hot if you ever fancy letting me have an email address I will send them to you also. Hot agree with you on washing machine insurance its cheaper to get a new one when you need too Sorry to hear about your boiler woes and expenses. Good job you have your electrician skills. Its more about getting exposure to all world areas and derivatives and calls swaps etc which I can’t do my self. I bought into Scottish mortgage trust SMT yesterday and its up 5p already so happy with that. Hot still not trading as such still too busy to concentrate. Much like the Pro Charts on IG more hassle than they are worth. IG.....froze up-today on a few positions at around diner timeish it closed the market on my BLND and i noted it also closed the market on llyods. It was really frustrating i was going to sell a second dfb on blnd but by the ime IG opened it up again it was falling. I've complained before about stuff like this but they always say it never happened. I haven't been doing much actual trading, bad back...... much, new computer arrived, so been trying to transfer stuff across etc.. I also have an appointment with accountant on Monday so getting books in order. GS good luck on Bohhoo and NG,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,GS most of my shares were down today but LOGP still going up and SBRY still holding up well also Gl All.......

Good for you as it turned out crude went back up. I am sure Shell has some legs yet. Spread betting trading is different for my self from holding shares. On spreads I am much quicker to take pfofits!! Looks like Hot is on a bb break Gl all Gl gs

Hi hot weather not too brilliant for weekend away but good to catch up with family. I also use Google Chrome which ig recommend. Computers start off fast and efficient when they are new but fairly quickly slow down and files get corrupted and just become a pain. ..... The worst thing ever is pressing that buy or sell button on a s/b and the thing freezes..... when it recovers you are showing a £500 loss and market has turned! !! 5 min binaries not really much good for me...On the positive side it can limit your losses to 5 mins of trading but as fast trading on the indices work best on one minute rsi.... being limited to 5 mins automatic closure is extremely frustrating when you can see the rsi heading the other way just as you get closed out...its a bit more of a gamble really. So won't be doing it again....... I would rather open and close several trades in my own time frames. It gives you more control! ... . Gl all

spent £125 on getting computer fixed and its still rubbish. So given up and just bought another one..... dam technology always going wrong....... On a happier note, off to Yorkshire for the weekend to the land of "Last of the summer wine PS, Hot, a had ago on 5 min binaries yesterday, another story for later.... Have a good weekend every body .
