Just picked up 31 points on the DAX long Crude short not going well though at the moment

picked up 17 points on FTSE long and now closed out............. currently short on US crude

Correction should have said ....................... 80% short 20% long. Time for a cider

Hi GS it depends how you look at it, free school dinners for every child for the first three years in primary school. Well it could be considered a waste of public money. I didn't get free school dinners nor did my kids. Besides if it happens it will b replaced with free breakfasts. I wouldn't vote for Corbyn. He is the ultimate opposer and arrogant, even his own party didn't want him and couldn't get rid of him. He wants to take the country back to the 70's.......... Hi Matt the very informative post from yourselve on trusts and funds they can sometimes be like smoke and mirrors...you are not sure always at you are getting. Gs somewhat perplexed by your political logic. You obviously are concerned that should labour get in and nationalise all the utility companies to the point that you have sold your Igas shares. However you are still going to vote for them plus you said you made a mistake when you voted for them before. And you say if they get in and screw up, never again!!!! Just a thought you could sell all your shares now and buy them back very, very much cheaper on the 9th if Labour do get in . Gl all

Thanks Matt for that Alliance trust post i will take a look. It does sound like its worth investigating further.. GS actually yes i think you are right about funds they also roll in the dividends into the price and have an actual value as you pointed out. I do recall posting about this once but ive forgot !! lol . BLND yes another to weigh up another favourite of Neil Woodford . I am not doing anything until after the election. If labour get in there will be some truly massive bargains out there. good luck all

Is that Marlbourough fund premium to NAV GS ? Just been looking at Woodford Patient capital trust 8.8 % discount to NAV a real bargain if you have a 5 to ten year time frame and risk appetite . Plus very low charges ISAT Soft Bank takeover rumours the SP has shot up. They took over Arm last year. I am holding my breath!!! GL all

LONDON--Inmarsat PLC (ISAT.LN) said Friday it will build another Global Xpress broadband network communications satellite for $130 million in the next three years. The satellite will cover the Middle East, Europe and the Indian subcontinent and should be launched in 2019, the company said. Inmarsat also said on Friday that Qatar Airways has chosen its new GX Aviation in-flight broadband, which is supported by the recently launched satellite.
