That’s a good header ‘confused.’ The interims didn’t go down well so there had to be something else driving the price. This offer is well short of the house broker target so one would hope it could be substantially improved. They do have Harwood on board which might help. As revenues stand it’s not exactly cheap. Lot of expectation in the next trading results will probably decide their fate. Hope this isn’t going to be another long down out affair. If business is doing what they vaguely suggested I would expect this offer to be briskly rejected.

Just dropped the buy price to 27.7p after those last two big sell trades which seem to be holding @27p still. Really wonder who is selling ? Thermo Fischer released a note about M.pox diagnostic ready to help with their partners i.e. EKF.

Apparently Jim Mellon can’t understand the plunge in Anic’s share price. Wonder why he is not piling in then. I agree the news on products coming to market has been woefully wrong and mis calculated. The sentiment has turned a bit sour on the whole sector, which often happens especially with new kinds on the block and the old guard fearful of their competition. The fact they want to ban lab meat before it’s even in the shop’s suggests they are well aware of its viability and see it as a threat.

I think he is disappointed in the fact that the market in general has little appetite for funding currently, which is not necessarily always a negative, especially when you have a sales team in America actually interesting doctors in what they have to sell. As he also said they have achieved many milestones. Life science is still a very frustrating investment but it’s time will come with many stocks on the cusp of achieving commerciality. In a years time will we be thinking why on earth didn’t I stock up, or thank god I resisted the temptation? I’ve been quite fortunate being a bit late to the game here. Generally I think the future looks astonishingly good with the development of these sciences, but it is pretty hard to judge the awareness of clients, Health centres and doctors who have to make the decision on where to priorities their budgets.

Another reassuringly buoyant end to the week for Niox. I know we have dropped a fair bit from the recent highs but there seems to be good strength here amongst some top slicing. Why wouldn’t there be in a debt free, tax free cash cow with a massive no competitor market to build in?

Exactly right Tom. RG has substantially reduced his near 30 percent holding, but Rathbone and others have bought some of them, presumably in off market deals. A lot more news to come towards second half of September. I am still buying a funds allow. Hope to god I get some of it back in a special dividend. Good interview with the Mills father and son team with Paul Hills. I didn’t realise they were in with Thermo Fisher and others in US which is where they hope to build heavily on the growth front. Gl
