It took one of NOP's old partners 30 years to find oil in the irish sea. It can be a frustratingly long game. Musgrove let Shell lead us a merry old dance which suited him very well while he continued to draw a huge and completely unwarranted salary, while they puffed on about upping the game, hiring new staff for their hectic new phase of exploration. It amounted to some paper shuffling the lapse of a couple of licenses, the decline of the wildly overestimated Dutch gas field and BA all else. At least Keith has set about restoring Nop's fortunes. I posted a recent article about the new Italian government s intentions to get off its backside and develop the resources it sits on, so they are not totally reliant on handouts from the Eu, mainly France and Germany, but no doubt the UK too. Even with that stated intention, obviously hurry and urgency only apply to tearing down the autostrada t0 a football match. Might happen when it happens, should be big though.
