Maybe a little early for a re-rate but can't be far off after todays news. Interesting to hear how the presentation goes for the new smaller gym rollouts.

Sure has moved now. Cant say I saw this acquisition coming . I thought the placing was just abut an early investor leaving. Turns out they have bought a vey lucrative add on to increase earnings dramatically. Broker market equally dramatically upgraded from £3.10 - £3.70. Fortunately I was out and about otherwise might have easily fallen prey to the MMs favourite game 'tree shake!' £2.00 my arse

According to the Irish Times I think we have moved on from the Sulphur drama. Everything seems a little out of sync, Wouldn't be surprised if they hint ruled out Jethro but looking forward :Goldman Sachs analyst Duncan Milligan continues to push Tullow as a buy, though he’s removed the stock from the Wall Street bank’s “conviction list”, having seen it slump by a third since it was included on the list in May.
Milligan is now looking beyond the recent Guyana disappointments to focus on another well – called Carapa – off the Latin American country’s coast that is currently being drilled. Results from this well, in which Tullow has a 37.5 per cent stake, are expected in the next two months.

It seems some people have lost sight of why we are able to pick up TLW shares at this level. 1) They issued a shocking profit warning. 2) the two oil discoveries are still being analysed, 3) are they going to be able to pay the dividend cover they they have only just established. 4) Will Guyana bare the same level of success as it has for Exxon. The sp doesn't turn around just because we have bought into it. A non exec director has joined us in believing that despite its problems this is oversold and is likely to recover. Stocks always get overbought and oversold. If it were that easy everyone would be a millionaire. I bought tLW for 70p a share originally. I sold out way too early, but still made one of m best profits. I've traded in and out over the years, but have waited a long time for an opportunity like this. I believe in this company. Possibly got in a bit early at £1.47 but I'm still stake building and got my average down to £1.42. Happy to average down again. Could take a few months or a year to turn around, but a great opportunity none the less. Exciting prospects ahead but could be further disappointments. This is oil exploration. You either believe or not.

Probably. If the div is maintained and secure. Seemed to stop the fall on Jeffries latest blithering about restructuring, which of course they will need to do. Doesnt necessarily mean they will return to growth. Banks have quite rightly been tethered somewhat. I don't trust Banks and although tempted even with Hong Kong being sorted its a pretty limp buy. There are much better opportunities outside of Banks. The div is the only pull, but how secure is that?

Could be right. Shorters have a clear run till Christmas, unless of course TLW suddenly spring some news out of the blue like they do, which could come from anywhere, they have so many problems to solve and can. In which case ouch! The lowest broker target is around £1.65. Have tucked a few more away sub £1.40.

You could also say Gil got 3 times as many share for his money as his last purchase. Not sure how it effects his average of 8 million shares though! Ah well its the thought that counts

Presumably directors are free to fill their boots now, and Gil can now purchase the shares he had to stop buying at an even better price! Cant say I deleted any note of negativity in podcast other than they are wrapped up for Christmas so will have to wait till the new year for news. Sounds more like a little boy who can't wait to open another well!

Basically a placing fully subscribed by ints, so no dilution. managed get a few @2.115. Then it was immediately back up to £2.14. Imagine this is quite tightly held. Anyway seem to be well prepared for Christmas market.

They understand and share the frustration of people invested here ( has read some of the posts) especially compared to the finds of Exon. It is what it is. Or rather the oil in the ground is what it is. Nothing they can do about that. Its a cruel game sometimes. As yet they are still analysing commerciality and there is still a good chance of a better find. Cash position is a little better than I was expecting so glad the market has not over reacted again at the moment Tlw slightly up fingers crossed

I see LSE have the PE ratio at 45 while Hargearves Lansdown have it at 29. As profitability has increases I would think HL is more accurate and LSE are notoriously slow update information. Due to the low volumes this does seem to slide back without news, but long term support and the staff incentive share plan are good. Question of patience

Frankly many people were surprised by this market reaction. Maybe induced by the double whammy of Tullow's profit warning and some uncertainty about the value of these initial wells creating the perfect storm (probably in a teacup). Both wells drilled found oil whatever the commerciality and viability of them. As he said this is just the beginning of a very exciting prospect in possibly one of the best areas of exploration currently. Worst case and unlikely scenario they get abandoned and move on to the next 4 drills for which they are fully financed.

Worth noting also 'this just the beginning' not the end in the hottest exploration spot in the world. Quite extraordinary market reaction and great opportunity. Nothing like a bit of confusion and lack of knowledge on the brokers part.

Its disappointing after following the deep water wells they drilled in the region with Total and Shell a few years back. This is the nature of exploration. There was a time when it seemed they only had to poke a hole in the ground and hit oil every time. The fall back today seemed to coincide with Jeffries reappraisal. Others are not quite so gloomy and I would take Jeffries and Morgan whoever's. view with a large pinch of salt on previous records of inaccurate forecasting. Guyana is definitely one of the areas to explore. These wells do cost which is why the licenses tend to be shared. Sooner or later someone will hit the jackpot. Just depends whether you are up for it or not.

PE Anywhere between 32-37. You can google it. It has been rising up to this current year and is set to fall according to some forecasts to around 20 over the next few years. How anyone can accurately forecast this when there are still deals to be done on the franchises I'm not sure. Lets say its peaked anyway. I guess the US deal or lack of it and to some degree the debacle that is Weworks is currently stalling any price movement here.
