I know it's normal practice to create subsidiaries, but claiming subtantial 'expenses' and 'fees' from each one separately as well as receiving a salary from the main business is surely optional, especially when everything takes place in the one small lab with the same 4-5 staff.

I think the stale bulls selling before the end of tax year theory is the most plausible. If clinical trial results were known (and bear in mind the selling has been going on for some time), they would have RNS'd it, and I am certain they have strict measures in place to ensure data remains confidential so I don't see some kind of 'partial result' leaking out.

He likes to set up different subsidiary companies for each part of the business, which allows him to claim 'fees' from each one separately in addition to his 'salary' from the main company.
